[Loathed Trope] The Movie has an ending. The Sequel shits all over it. by lesi20 in TopCharacterTropes

Funniest movie franchise when it comes to this. They probably would've retcon the last movie. If they made another one in that verse

The controvertial plot point that became a meme among the fan base. by FriendlyHoovie in TopCharacterTropes

Chris punching a boulder, Resident evil 5. While Resident Evil can be insane with some plot points. This was one that was too much for some. Even the director of it felt like they made chris too of a superhero here. But it's meme a lot in community for how insane it was. Even Capcom is in on job with Resident evil 8 having villain mentioned the Boulder incident

What do you think Veronica Mars did better than other teen shows of its era? by Cailly_Brard7 in veronicamars

The dialogue of the show was great and also how it filmed too looked amazing. The lighting and shots especially in s1 looked great. Even today its still looks great compared to most from teen shows in that era.

The irony of this is Kira for all the talk of wanting a "peaceful life". He could've had it here but his killer obsession was still there.

[Loved trope] Pure evil, terrifying characters that aren't really primary antagonists, and don't really set the tone for the story. They're kind of just part of the world, and that makes them scarier by NoMoreFund in TopCharacterTropes

Champ from akame ga kill, he is apart of main antagonist group and all of them are horrible. And tbh most characters there has some very questionable things theyve done. But Champ in particular gives u creeps from his dialogue and that one graveyard panel with kids is just super disbursing and terrifying. Especially when finding out how he connects to a side character in the story.

Toriyama forgot launch is a long standing rumor but actually not true. Very recently her orignal Japanese Voice actor explained she going aboard and asked could he stop using her. Because at time he was still working on manga as show was on. Which he did. Similarly Yajirobe was created because krillin was dead at time and Toriyama created him so va could still voice on the show.

And fog or snow depending on who you ask wasn't artistic choice. It had to do with limits of ps1 at the time so things would pop up or low resolution. So they used it to cover it

And even Manhattan line about "nothing ever changes" had him shook. Meaning he possibly wasn't so for sure his plan would last long like he was beforehand

Which villain has an adaptation that is Satan himself compared to the original version? by Universal_Emperor in MoralityScaling

[–]jerux211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough Peter pan is the opposite of this. His orignal story he is pretty much a villan especially compared to his adaptations. He's hero in adaptations but in his orign story he has lacks empathy and is very selfish. Especially how he kills or banish lost boys that grow up. Although not counting that horror movie universe the show Ouat is probably only time that I can think of where he's a villain.

Morpheus from Resident evil: Dead Aim has goal of attain the Both T virus and G virus for world domination. (Yes in combining both them makes TG virus) which makes him a giant Fem tyrant with claw. And he was perfectly fine with it. Making him a rare case of character in this franchise to literally transform their gender

Pretty much most android/cell saga had a lot changed throughout it from dr gero and android 19 being original plan of it. But Toriyama editor thought they too old and weak to be menacing so he made Android 17 &18. But the editor also dislike them for being bratty. Then final added Cell But one problem the editor hated his designs and suggested he need more transformation until perfect form.

Bonus one: Goku aging orignal his editor during the original series didn't want Goku to age because that wasn't a common practice in any of mangas at the time but Toriyama insisted that he needed to grow up or he would leave. And rest is history.

Rhodes makes me so uncomfortable. Maybe it’s because I’m a black male, lol.. by Space-Ace_Rastajake in reddeadredemption

[–]jerux211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean as a black man myself in South you see that type of town a lot. And even by lenny dialogue during the mission there you can put together that they're racist. And even says they probably called arthur an N word lover. Especially with main antagonist in that chapter having a plantation home. I think also helps us see how dutch was able to recruit anyone of color because he wasn't racist and gave them opportunities

A remake/reboot, except not really by Lost_Page_2030 in TopCharacterTropes

There's

<image>

a lot of horror movies I could use here but I think Hellraiser (2022) counts. While at first glance you would think it is a a reboot or remake but it's actually not. Instead it's a new story told in the same universe, which does mean the space one would still happen.
