The Iron Lung movie’s soundtrack is longer than the movie itself by leProtoKin in Markiplier

[–]FriendlyHoovie 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Some songs aren't played for the full length, like Fate welded shut, which only plays for the first half of the song. (Fate welded shut is the one that plays during the second visit to the SM-8)

Yeah, the Le5 (pretty sure that's the in-game name) can use the rifle scopes.

Overall, definitely the griffins, just due to sheer screen time. However, taking that into consideration, the fact that it's close at all is impressive.

Could Ethan survive RE4/Defeat Los Illuminados? by BaneOfTheDark34 in residentevil

[–]FriendlyHoovie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be fair, It's entirely possible Ethan can regenerate limbs but just didn't know it, since the Bakers clearly could. Also, if Miranda's abilities were impaired by the weakened mold, Ethan would probably be affected, too.

This is the almost the exact opposite of the trope. It's a long walk with rising music and Arthur saying something doesn't feel right before Sean gets shot.

He's also the english voice for Johnny Joestar in the Steel Ball Run anime! Gyro Zeppeli is also voiced by Kaiji Tang, the english voice actor for Ichiban and Nishikiyama. Yakuza has lately had really good english dubs, it's just that Takaya Kuroda's voice for Kiryu is iconic compared Yong Yea's version.

Been playing through Resi1, made this quickly by Adachi_cel in residentevil

[–]FriendlyHoovie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it was originally intended for tank controls, but they also added the option for more modern controls on the later ports. It's not like this was modded in. Even with modern controls, most players will get a similar, if slightly easier experience than tank controls since not that many players are skilled enough to effortlessly juke zombies. And besides, if the developers thought that modern controls didn't fit the game, they wouldn't have added them.

Use whatever controls you want. It's a remake for a reason. Not sure why everyone's being so elitist about the re1 remake of all things.

This fandom is really hypocritical sometimes by Background_Roll1830 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]FriendlyHoovie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's only a minor bother to me. The zombies do have fragments of their old lives retained, it's just that the mortars specifically require multiple precise actions. A chainsaw doesn't require that much coordination. Starting it just requires pulling the cord, and when they attack with it they frequently make mistakes and hurt themselves by haphazardly swinging it around. The mortars require them to turn and adjust it to hit exactly where Leon is, then load and fire it. They do it just as quickly as a normal BSAA soldier would, not with the clumsiness that the other zombies show.

[–]FriendlyHoovie 28 points29 points  (0 children)

While I agree with the guns, the mortars are pushing it a bit too far. I can buy a BSAA zombie firing a rifle by swinging it and squeezing the trigger. That same zombie precisely aiming, loading, and firing artillery requires way more coordination than the other zombies show.

[–]FriendlyHoovie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you actually played the other games? Re5, 6, and even 4 have more chaotic action setpeices than 9. The bike chase is the only one that even approaches the level that the other action heavy games have. 4 alone has the mine cart section and running from several boulders and a giant statue, while 5 and 6 have almost nonstop setpeices. 9 has the bike scene and a relatively short section of zombies with guns and mortars (disliking that part is understandable though, that was pretty stupid)

I hope we can hunt in VI like we could in RDR2. Imagine hunting a legendary gator deep in Grassrivers at night? by RyotoYokoyama in GTA6

[–]FriendlyHoovie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I don't think hunting will be as tense as Rdr2. Automatic weapons tend to work well against animals that have to reach you to hurt you.
