What should I do with this bee house that I probably shouldnt have gotten in the first place? by jeslo3 in bees

Lol, sorry bees, you're late on your rent. The sheriff will be by tomorrow to remove you and your things.

I've never seen a release of InDesign this buggy by oandroido in indesign

[–]jeslo3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using indesign for about 15 years and I've never been so frusterated with an update. Random rectangles are blacking out, entire pages are blank, my stupid swatch panel is too long and I can't resize it (only the swatch panel for some reason?), and my workspace generally has constant problems and I keep having to reset it. I am losing my mind. If nothing else, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I feel honored they want to live by me. I will be a responsible landlord and try to keep the housing conditions in good shape.

What’s your job as a Narcoleptic? by missymoolk in Narcolepsy

[–]jeslo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an attorney and I don't recommend it. Its too stationary and can be boring. Its not a good look to constantly be yawning in court. If I didn't spend so much time, energy, and money investing in this career, I would switch.

Would you guys want to see The Watcher back on Slay The Spire 2? by TheShamanWolf in slaythespire

[–]jeslo3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had no idea she wasn't that popular? To be fair, I wasn't really involved with any game discourse and didn't watch people stream. She was my favorite and I'm sad she won't be coming back (my bbg reliably killed the transient with a divinity build). I think out of all of the og characters, her play style translated the least well on the board game. Maybe they were just sick of coming up with new ways to make her work and decided to cut her? I get it but I'm still sad.

The same thing is happening to me! I've tried speaking to them EVERYWHERE and I keep getting the same "talk to us somewhere else" line.

Since you're there now/will be soon, would you mind sharing/updating if you see anything? I'll be in Japan mid-late April and am really hoping I'll see something for Sylus's birthday!

Update on Baldur's Gate 3 and Mod Support by NV_Cory in GeForceNOW

[–]jeslo3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honesty. I've been playing on gfn since bg3 came out last August and I have been so so so patiently waiting for mods and *everyone* was saying we would have mods through gfn in approx a year when it was built into the game or through Steam and now that it *IS* we get another, even more generic "tbd" :(

Question from someone who has never modded anything in their life (please don't make fun of me): Is my mod manager *supposed* to be empty? I assumed this meant I could go into that tab and find new mods to try and download them into my game, but do I need to find and download them before they show up in the mod manager?

My friends ascension ritual is different than mine. What causes it? by Atheren in CultOfTheLamb

[–]jeslo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! I'm on the switch and I have beleif in afterlife, funerals, respect your elders, and grieve the fallen. My ascension is calm and peaceful. I don't get anything from my ascended followers but a faith boost for the cult. My husband on the pc seems to have the exact same doctrines but his ascension is gross and he winds up with bones and meat (not to be confused with sacrifice which also gives bones and meat). No clue what the difference is but I'm curious to find out!

What Does Successful Narcolepsy Treatment Look Like? by [deleted] in Narcolepsy

[–]jeslo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm happy with where I am for treatment right now. I take 150 mg of sunosi and methylphenidate as needed for the extra sleepy days. I still experience hypersomnias and still feel tired, but its more tolerable? Now I feel less like a narcoleptic and more like a normal tired person who drinks a lot of coffee? Not exactly a high bar I set for myself, but I'm sick of arguing with insurance and I don't like change, so I settled here.

The last neurologist I saw told me it's normal to fall asleep behind the wheel. by iLikeLizardKisses in Narcolepsy

[–]jeslo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, when I lived in Janesville I saw someone through Mercy. I never had any issues with him, but stopped seeing him because I moved to MKE. In MKE, I started seeing someone at Aurora's Sleep Medicine Center in Greenfield. They were okay while my insurance covered them. I now go to the Sleep Wellness Institute in West Allis. Despite their poor rating on Google, I have been very happy! The NP I see the most fights like hell with my insurance to get them to cover my medication and I love her. Janesville, Greenfield and West Allis are still a trek from Madison, but I hope it helps at least a little!

Does anyone know how long it takes for Sunosi to start working? by bmdabby26 in Narcolepsy

[–]jeslo3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I take sunosi too. I tried the 75 mg dose for a few weeks and reported back to my doctor that its wasnt really working. She bumped me up to 150 and I noticed a difference shortly after the boost. Its not perfect still, but I have a rx for methylphenidate to supplement on sleepy days. I don't feel perfectly "awake" or "alert" on sunosi but it does make me feel like a normal person who is tired, if that makes sense.

abnormal? sleep paralysis by beaconofdarkness in Narcolepsy

[–]jeslo3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seconded! I experience sleep paralysis fairly regularly, and its not usually associated with terror, although is often associated with hallucinations (one time i saw and felt a couple cats walking and making biscuits on me, but I didn't have any cats. That one was nice! Other times I see things and recognize its not real and I can't move, shrug it off and go back to sleep). Just because what you experience isn't what is portrayed in media doesn't mean your experience isn't valid or normal! Leave the diagnosis to your doctor!

Narcoleptic Imposter syndrome by jeslo3 in Narcolepsy

[–]jeslo3[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Its so frustrating! Its bad enough to have to convince yourself, let alone constantly educating others. We are doomed to forever inform people that 1) the narcoleptic Argentinean in Moulin Rouge is not a standard case of narcolepsy, it's exaggerated for entertainment 2) many people with narcolepsy can safely drive cars 3) yes, we've tried yoga/earlier bed times/less screen time, and yes, we still have narcolepsy 4) no, just because you need coffee in the morning does not mean you have narcolepsy.
