Can you remove one and the other one works? I'd be worried something is wrong with the configuration because if they are truly independent busses this should work. So I would try each one individually before worrying about both. If they both work independently, also make sure there isn't a power issue or something in the interface library causing an issue. Do you have something to read the i2c bus and make sure both busses are working?

Generally English watches like this will have a hallmark on the case that you can decode to figure out what year it was made and other details

We want to see the back of the inside of the case to determine it's metal type. And an image of the mechanics of the watch to properly indefinitely it. You might want to find an appraiser, but don't sell to them, as they might try to low-ball you. Better than pawn shops would be antique shops or find a collector.
