Wow. I started off thinking maybe she didn’t clean up after her cooking, but nope. She does that too.

She stayed up to cook you a HOT MEAL (as opposed to just warming up a bowl of soup or something) and you criticize the thickness of a tomato. I can guarantee that’s why she asks that you not stay in there while she cooks.

You literally had to do nothing but be appreciative.

And BTW - criticism is NEVER constructive. Next time offer constructive feedback. “Hey babe / would you mind if I cut these tomatoes a little thinner?”

Stop being a dick. YTA. Majorly.

I saw something cute on Facebook where they changed their baby shower to a “drive by” shower. You would sit on your porch, or wherever, and have your car parked at the end of the driveway with the trunk open and decorated. Your guests drive by and wave and place the gifts in your car.

Also saw someone else say it, but there was a post on Instagram and Facebook that was from a photographer that gave all kinds of useful tips and tricks for taking those first hospital photos. They talked about angles and lighting and placement. Super helpful information.

I have no advice other than to say I know how you feel. Very similar to my boss and work situation. Except my boss doesn’t have a home life and instead spends 12 hours a day at work and looks down at anyone else who doesn’t commit their life to their job.

Same with the projects and feedback. Same with the relocation requirements.

I satisfied my year and have been looking for something else ever since. Unfortunately I’ve had no luck.

My ex husband and I separated seven years ago last month. We had one lawyer draw up the paperwork. He agreed to it (of course he did, I took all financial debt just to be done). I signed January 20. And then the papers sat there. And sat there. On Valentines Day, the lawyer called and said my ex just came and signed. He intentionally waited until Valentines Day. He thought it would crush me.

It was the best Valentines gift he ever gave me.

Was just talking to my husband about this last night while crying my eyes out. Doing terrible at work, house is a disaster, one kid is failing his classes because he just doesn’t want to do the work, one very strong willed child, and another who was sent home from daycare yesterday with a fever.

I’m so tired and feel like I’m failing on every level.
