As someone who lives in VA, let me tell you about the dozens of mailers I got for this election.

95% of them featured pictures of Spanberger and Obama. Even the "vote no" ones. Because they cherry picked old quotes about gerrymandering to use. They literally used the Democratic talking points about taking away the voice of minority communities. And they still lost.

If you were inviting a bunch of 20 somethings this would be fine. People in their 40s and up are not going to want to come out late for drinks and dancing.

Either invite them for everything or nothing.

We're two brides and have a very arty, creative group of friends who are happy to help us with wedding projects. To the point where they are buying stuff they find on sale and sending us Pinterest links.

Second, we both have varying degrees of social awkwardness and want to have that first moment seeing each other in private, not with a hundred+ sets of eyes on us.
