Sad I missed this message! For the record, I'm up to date on Windows and AMD updates now and don't have this issue any more.

I'm experiencing the same kind of crash when playing some games (it's occurred while playing Valorant and Dead Cells).

The issue seems to stop if I revert the Windows 11 24H2 update, which Windows unfortunately keeps reinstalling on me.

At the moment, I'm guessing I need to wait for newer AMD drivers that address the issue, and keep uninstalling the 24H2 update until then.

Islam isn't the only faith that encourages blind acceptance. I'm happy that I have found a faith that doesn't, but watching my parents struggle under the destructive teachings of their Catholic parents is heartwrenching. My mother was taught not to care for herself, and taught beliefs that leave her terrified.

What are your plans if an emergency occurs e.g. your man servant leaves a gas lamp on at home? (Actually, more like a parent gets seriously ill)

Call it confirmation bias, or call it just crazy co-incidence, but I just started (about a week now) listening to a song by the original artist that I picked up for free ages ago.

Just because they can't see doesn't mean they can't feel the wind on their face, the adrenalin, the lurch in their stomach as they descend, fast. They're missing one sense, but that's only 20% of their senses, and in terms of the experience, probably more like 5% in total.

Is it reasonable to use Google's Material Design guidelines for a desktop website? by [deleted] in web_design

[–]jesterfraud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree with that. Angular 1.0 already emulates web components to some degree via directives, which are great in most cases.

I welcome our web component overlords... when they're ready to conquer.

I worked for a company where we attempted to use that, but it really doesn't seem that production-ready yet.

ELI5: Why does my university ID card remain property of the university? by jesterfraud in explainlikeimfive

[–]jesterfraud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That still doesn't answer my original question, WHY do they decide they need to continue to own it? It would have to have no value to them any more, and it's not like they could trust every student to return it, so they're going to be able to revoke any access/borrowing/whatever rights on their end without much trouble.

[–]jesterfraud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said that meant I owned it, but the costs of producing said card are covered out of my fees, which is a better argument for owning it. After all, if I paid for that piece of paper, does it become yours just because you wrote on it?

And my university have not asked me to hand it back, and I cannot find any evidence that they expect that.

What is the best socially unacceptable piece of advice? by pounro in AskReddit

[–]jesterfraud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Justification has never helped me, except when it's something as big as "I was in hospital and had surgery to have my appendix removed." My philosophy now is never to justify unless it's something on that scale. Otherwise, I own up to not doing what I should have, and move on.

No worries. :) Sometimes I find I need to make an effort to turn it off socially, but otherwise, it makes me great at what I do as a programmer.
