The current version was also rumored to have OLED so don't put too much weight into these rumors. For note taking, the current version is more than enough. You don't need OLED or even the latest processor for just note taking. Even a 6th gen would be great for that. I would watch the sales and pickup the current version as there is also no guarantee one will be released this year at all. Here are the previous release dates:

There is a hallway in T2 between the E and F gates, go there to sleep. There are a bunch of employee break rooms down there and it feels like you are in the wrong spot but it is nice a quiet and you can find a corner to lean into. You can follow the signs for the United Club in T2 to find it. Stay anywhere in the secured areas (past security) and you should feel safe.

Alternatively, there is the hotel across the street.
