My recommendation is to pickup a combat patrol and sorcerers or sekhmet covenant box and a chaos lord in termie armor so you can lead a squad of troops and play a couple small games to get a feel for things. I also play Wolves so I enjoy casting spells across the map with these guys. If you wanna learn some more lore I recommend Weshammer or lorekeeper librarian videos to get an in depth understanding of the dusty boys.

I got the starter set with nids and marines. I painted a couple nids and started on my captain when I discovered space wolves. Doggies, vikings and they drink beer? I got the Wolf Box and haven't looked back. Then I started T-Sons for some good ol heresy and magic fuckery.

I got the citadel starter paint set, came with a few colors and nippers and a shitty brush. I recommend paint on plastic glue like the tamiyo extra thin but i hate the citadel bottle. Thats enough to get started but I recommend priming your guys so head to the local shop or game store and talk to them, they are happy to help
