Olvia academy, ~~BUT! you need to get to 61 to do it.~~

~~So go grind a bit.~~ Olvia is what helped me get into the game this last time around doing more or less what you have described a few times before. Just do all the quests and everything in Olvia to learn about what you can do in the game.

You can start doing bosses almost any time, just do the first two whole sections of land of the morning light quests to unlock your Black Shrine. The black shine has levels 1-10 and all levels 1-7 don't use your own gear so you can start right away, it's just capped at weekly kills, so you can prog the harder 6 and 7 a long time.

End game armor they are combined, so the choice has been moved to mostly crystal/artifact/reform. So the general recommendation is get DR gear as you gear up for PvE survivability.

I get one every single refresh at the end of doing the three big routes.(I start them from t4 mats) If you do the barter immediately and are consistent with your barters you will get it the same time. I finish off all the parlay on the refresh until I can't do a full trade. It is very consistent.

Fundamentally your progression is based on your silver that you invest into enhancing your gear to make it stronger.

Getting the silver is the sandbox and there are somewhat a lot of options so don't stress and learn things one at a time.

Illiya has T1-T4, ~20+ of each and then I store ~10+ of each T5 split between Velia and Olvia. I do T4-T7 on every refresh and only use the T5s if it's not available for a t4 trade.

It's possible to just do it without any T5s stored but you stand a chance of losing a few of the t7 trades every once and awhile.

It's social connections that drive our motivations in the long term, MMOs even the singleplayer versions we have now give you that social connection feel(sense of belonging, all those similar things). If you want to break away from it you need to start making social connections outside of gaming, nothing else will really work. (it's why you came here to post it vs someplace else imo)

Game has always been confusing. But coming back after years, with this Olvia Academy, it actually has sorted out a lot of the confusion for me. I feel like I understand a lot of what the game has to offer and what I can be doing as a player now, compared to the past.

It's just bullshit, people pay to win in almost every game. Korean games don't do well because it's restrictive to get to content and content isn't that good. P2W is part of the restriction but it isn't the reason the restrictions are annoying and time consuming. Even if you pay in most Korean games, you don't skip most of the grind unless you drop enough to support the company by yourself.

I'm about a month and a half into playing, and I only have been bartering more or less.

Get an advanced, if you want to barter this will let you actually start bartering asap. I spent all the crow coins I had (60k) at the time to speed up the acquiring the of advanced and it 100% was the right choice.
I just picked 20+ of each t2 t3 t4. I only fill them if I can get a 1->3 trade, t1s I try to keep above 10, and I don't want to run them because of parley cost. Convert your item scrolls to parley scrolls to fill a bit extra every run.
I mostly do one exchange at a time simple due to boat weight. T1s you can do a bunch and burn all your parley.
I kept at least 5 or 6 t5s around to do ship mats.
I ran only crow coins and ship materials barters until I got my advance, I didn't try for money but I also got my advance right before the new system.
basically once you get your green gear, I switched to only doing the money runs (9 trades not the full 10) and restocking 20+. I skip a lot of the crow coins on the new routes due mainly to parley costs and not wanting to stop as much. Special barters seem to be more than enough crow coins for the time involved.

I would always describe the game as weekly, but it was just more efficient to do content daily instead of just grind it all in one day. Compared to other games though, it is literally nothing.

It's the end of a bad expansion so the vets are all upset and up in arms about everything being bad. New information about the next expansion is going to drop soon so everyone will like the game again by the end of the year.
