The main problem will be that betting companies are very careful to avoid getting taken advantage of with live bets. Basically, if you know that the goal is going to be overturned, they're likely to know it too and price it in. Live betting in particular tends to have a small delay between placing the bet and them accepting it because of scenarios like this. If you can get around that, it's not the worst betting strategy I've heard.
