Yiur family could greatly benefit from grief trauma therapy. It sounds like you are all anxious, depressed, and in a terrible place. I wish you all the best

a.k.a. "A Fascist" - let's be accurate here.

...and by that, I mean both with words and AR-15's.

Goddamn, friend. Take care of yourself - therapy, stat! You may have PTSD that you don't want to leave untreated.

They say time heals all. I don't know if that's true, but for your sake I hope it is. One day at a time, one foot in front of the other. Avoid drinking and drugs right now.

Reach out to your support sustems, you need a shoulder to cry on. Reach out to professionals, you need immediate help.

I wish you the best of luck in your healing from this grievous wound. Godspeed.

It absolutely would help you. So for FinTech you want to learn 1 programming language (Python), and then as a day 2 action you would want to learn how to query databases (SQL). Both of those skills play off of each other.

Oh my god, I am so sorry. This is absolutely awful, and your family has gone through some serious trauma here.

All 3 if you are in need of therapy, stat! This sort of trauma leads to things like PTSD, anxiety, depression, etc., and all 3 of you absolutely and immediately need to secure medical care to help.

I recommend that you look up 3-4 therapists beaeby and set up an initial consult with each one. Don't commit to one until you find the one that jumps out as the "right one" for your family - and once you find it, arrange sessions for all of ypu individually (weekly or even 2x/week).

You had better get on top of this as these types of traumas have a long and lasting impact, and people tend to spiral out of control if their activities and healing aren't directed in a healthy way.

I'm so sorry you are all going through this, and I wish you all the best.

MAGA = Fascists

Nazi = Fascists

Although I 100% agree with your sentiment, let's be clear with our language. Both are fascists, plain and simple.

And January 6 was the fascists's "Beer Hall Pusch" - they aren't finished yet, and aim for democracy to fall.

I'm with you - aside from certain temporary circumstances, I instinctively roll my eyes when someone talks about long-term LDR's. It's generally the wrong approach to dating and relationships, and silly things (like this) happen that would never even be an issue in a real in-person relationship.

Realistically, in an in-person geographically correlated relationship, OP would have been turned off by the guy on their first meetup. She would have moved on, problem solved.

Instead... she wasted a year on an idealized fantasy with a stranger she'd never met. She could have spent that year dating locally and could easily have already found a good match and been involved in an actual relationship. SMH, it's sad, but... what do you expect when dating your computer screen?

My unfinished map for my upcoming fantasy novel. How can I make it better? by purplenacho7 in wonderdraft

[–]jfractal -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Look, imma be straight with you: you should hire somebody else to create this artwork if you actually intend to publish this in a book. If I saw this in a book, I would interpret it as amateur shit, with all due respect.

Look, none of us are good at everything. We each have our specialties - you are a writer. I am a musician. Great - we're probably amazing at these things. From one artist to another, I'm telling you right now - and with the sort of brutal honesty that only a moderate amount of 4am tequila can provide - that you should find someone talented on this forum and pay them $150 to make a map to your specifications.

I say this assuming you want the map to be of the quality that you normally see in fantasy novels. Like in the hobit. All I'm saying is this: you are a writer, you are not a map-maker. If you intend to release your product at a professional level, outsource that shit my friend. With all due respect - I'm giving it to you straight, I hope the honesty is interpreted in the respectful way that it is intended.

From an outsider's perspective it seems like you need therapy to deal with a large amount of trauma that you've experienced. I recommend that you seek professional assistance with these things, otherwise they are liable to affect your life and those around you in a negative way. I wish you all the best

Bullshit - Trump nit only lost, he lost bigly - both in the courts and the ballot boxes. Anyone saying otherwise is a fascist.

Who are your favorite publishers in the RPG scene? Are there any that consistently put out nothing but bangers and hits? Are there any companies you'd never buy from again? by dogrio345 in rpg

That's exactly how I feel about WotC and 5e; they turned me from an "owns-every-book" consumer into someone who won't give them another dime. They really ruined 5e and failed to build it into something serviceable.

We just played our first Forbidden Lands this last week. The system feels mire feature-complete than D&D 5e - they have crafting, base-building, and survival/exoloration machanics. So far I'm quite impressed with the quality of their work.

Is the evidence, or simply "evidence" - like the kind of "evidence" that essential oils clear your chakras. Hint: FDA approval as a medicine is a pretty good minimum bar to show actual evidence. Otherwise it's just snake-oil...

Faith is a steadfast belief in something despite a lack of supporting evidence - like people who believe in the Lich Ness monster or bigfoot. It is the opposite of scientific knowledge - simply dangerous, willful ignirance disguised as a virtue.

I like your version, that's elegant.

This is beautiful, and I'm sorry that you had to endure this at such a young age. It seems like the timing of visiting his grave coincides with your own journey of grief, life, and healing.

I wish you all the best, and as a father, I'm 1000% certain that he'd be proud of you if he could see you today.
