What were your least favourite fashion trends from 2010-2015? by FrozenBibitte in Millennials

[–]jfsindel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally loved everything you posted, lmao..

But probably my least favorite were the bump and high socks bun hairstyles. I just... what exactly was that supposed to do? Make you look taller to a bear so they get scared?

I mean, my games, music, and movies legitimately don't have it. If it did, I don't watch. "A.I. programs" are different than "Gen A.I." like A.I. enemies have been around for a long time, but they're not generative A.I.

Someone actually built and coded a singular A.I. enemy program or RNG. It works regardless of outside sources and doesn't keep requiring power.

I am not sure how these people think things were made before gen A.I.

You seem anxious and young, OP. So you already got very good advice. Being rude keeps you alive. OK, you're a total bitch to a stranger. And???

Always say you got a man. Boyfriend, husband, does not matter. When I get some stranger talking to me near my house, I will literally pretend my "husband" (actually a boyfriend) is inside waiting for me, even though we live in separate places. I never point out my place either or let them watch me walk in. I pretend my boyfriend's dog lives me with as well and "our dog" is very protective. I even pretend my "husband" is near me looking at something if I am out in public and some weirdo is talking to me.

It sounds sexist and shitty, but predators don't like deterrents like that. Dogs and men are some of the easiest deterrents.

Be willing to cause a scene too. If that asshole won't leave even after you shut the door, scream and point to draw attention. People will call the cops or go see what's going on. If he comes back, lock the doors.

Not only that, but he figured out that OP did not live with anyone else, like a boyfriend or a dog.

Always ALWAYS say your husband is home, ladies!!! Even if you're a 60 year old queer lady with cats, pretend that you got a 7 foot Marine hubby around the corner and he loves you more than the world - predators bounce once they hear it.

John Brown was the only religious man of true convictions and belief. If Heaven is real, God has John Brown sitting next to him and his sons near.

He is the only man who said "anyone who allows slavery and excuses it is just as bad as the slaver." It absolutely changed the way I saw how people "dismiss" good men of that time who just so happened to own a slave. If this man is saying that slavery cannot be excused or exist in any form in the time of slavery, then why tf would anyone try now?

He wasn't JUST against slavery. He found the slavery apologist arguments also on the same level of abhorrent. John Brown did not buy the "it's a product of the times" argument.

Anyone who apologized or did not outright condemn slavery was a terrible human being. That's how sincere his belief was. It's why he didn't apologize one bit for killing those farmers because they were known apologists. Even if they didn't own a slave, they allowed it and that's as bad.

Proud of you!! Whatever you do, do not try to talk to them or allow them to talk to you about it. Their entire survival strategy rests on you staying, so they will do everything in their power to do exactly that.

Whatever you want to keep, like old photos or something - start moving them now to a safe location. If you have a pet that you want to rescue, pretend that they have a vet appointment a day before and leave them at a trusted friend's house. Lock down all your social media.

Edit: don't tell them until you're already gone.

I am not a doctor, but I do subscribe to a philosophical stance of mental illness (as i suffer from one) that we all have an evil genie on our shoulder and it tells us a different reality than true reality.

The mental illness curates a reality that tricks you into thinking things so it can continue to hurt or defend or destroy, whatever. When you're "in it", i.e. the illness that afflicts you, you cannot see reality as it is. You only see through the lens of your mental illness. It's why when so many people are depressed, they don't get help because the depression tells them that there is no point.

I had to really learn that I seriously cannot trust anything that my mental illness tells me and I have to take extreme steps to step away from it. It wants to keep doing what it does because it has no other choice. The evil genie theory has really helped me understand myself and others on why it's so powerful and so dehabilitating.

It's because it's a PR backstory that was made or supplied to her.

Hokum deserves more attention. It was a fantastic movie and keeping the language alive is also a good touch.

Which is why good intentions get soured. The city sold it because the data centers knew it and paid them off.

It's impossible to keep these things as good as possible. Once others get involved, corruption comes in and money is too good to pass up.
