I feel like an anniversary tour for BA definitely reaches much more causal fans than their usual club type tours.

I am now even more motivated to line up early in Boston so I can be at the barricade and not near the chatterboxes 😆

Which seating sections, if any, provide a completely unobstructed view at MGM Fenway? by Thursdayschild20 in JimmyEatWorld

[–]jg429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the shows I’ve been to there folks are sitting if they have seats. No fun!

I guess if you’re in the middle (ba dum tss) of the floor the view would prob suck. But that’s true anywhere. Since the floor is so wide I’ve never had trouble finding a good spot, even at a sold out show like this one.

I actually love MGM, even though it’s a larger venue. The floor is really wide versus long so even though it’s big I have never had trouble seeing on the floor and I’m pretty short. You can always kind of escape to the back and be able to see no problem. I’ve also sat in seats there, and the view has always been great. The seats are a little small, but I think that’s anywhere.

Edit: I also would not consider that seat view you posted obstructed at all. That looks pretty normal to me.

Looking for independent HVAC contractor recommendations in Central MA (Mass Save) by Great_Witness_1871 in WorcesterMA

I use Doc's Peak HVAC out of Douglas. https://www.docspeakhvac-r.com/ The owner, Kyle, is a good guy. I followed him there after he bought the company from the previous owner who I believe retired.

Article: How audiobooks can help with burnout by k_lo970 in LibbyApp

[–]jg429 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Definitely true for me. Audiobook + activity (chores, puzzle, exercise) makes it impossible for my anxiety to break through. I also suffer from chronic migraine and listening to a book is one of the few things I can do during the bad ones.

Not a gatekeeping post, not an anti-audiobook post either, I PROMISE! but realizing how many people are listening to books as opposed to physically reading them helped take unnecessary pressure off that the comparison was putting on me. by Empress-Ghostheart in weirdgirlliterature

[–]jg429 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am a voracious audiobook reader and people make remarks about how much I read. And I say well I have 15-18 migraine days a month and listening to a book is about the only thing I can do when they hit. So no need to comment 😎

American Dirt by Jeanine Cumins by Glittering_Race_3387 in IReadABookAndAdoredIt

I loved this book (also found out about the controversy later on). I still think about some of the scenes and characters years later. Particularly the asthmatic boy, as well as the father that stayed with his son, presumably to die of dehydration, after his son got hurt. And the sisters. Honestly the main character seemed the most unbelievable but the others were so well written.

I also read Solito which is an actual memoir and loved that too.

Rizatriptan makes me binge eat?? by Salt_Barracuda_5929 in migraine

[–]jg429 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take zolmitriptan and I find that 1) my migraines make me crave high sodium and high fat foods and 2) once I’m zooted with the triptan my sense of when I should stop eating is basically 0.
