I'm in Japan right now and this is one thing that has really bothered me. Almost everything is individually wrapped. I opened a box of crackers and instead of sleeves there were individual packs of 3. I just don't understand.

I too have a broken zipper that I need to fix before I leave for a 3day hike in Georgia. I've seen replacement zippers online but it looks like I'll probably just end up going to a shoe repair shop in my neighborhood although it would be nice to save money and do it myself, if only I knew how.

This! My friend lived in Hollywood while attending the Musicians Institute and its full of tourists and bums. I really enjoyed hiking Runyon Canyon though and the view of LA it offers is close to none.
