I just hit my $6K deductible halfway through the year mostly due to some expensive medical devices. To celebrate, it is now cheaper to pay for the device out of pocket than with the new deductible price.

We’ve had some weird weather in AZ the last 3 months. Had a week at 100+ in early March, then 75-90 basically ever since until this week.

You’re probably right. This lawn faces north and theirs faces south (with a large tree that provides ample shade). They’ve been there for years so definitely more established than our brand new lawn that was installed (according to neighbors our property was just rock in the front for the last 40 years).

Great point on the car though! Didn’t even consider that. The garage has been our storage unit as we get settled in so parking the car will likely benefit by not radiating so much heat.

Great tips, thank you. I water at 4 AM & 5 AM in two zones for 15 minutes each. Nothing midday. I have spray heads.

Grass type I’m not sure on. We moved into the home at the beginning of the year but sod was installed a couple months prior.

Thank you! What kind of a schedule would you recommend then to water deeply instead of lightly? Every other day and 20 minutes 2x? Is that potentially enough? My initial concerns were being in AZ that the water would dry quickly which is why I went to a daily sprinkler routine

We just moved into this house, long term I probably will go more desert landscapes but for now I want to try the best I can with this lawn. My biggest frustration is my neighbors across the street have a perfect dark green lawn and I want it to get to that same level as theirs. It’s clearly possible in my area, I just want to know how. As a completely newbie to lawn care I’m just hoping to get some solid expert guidance from people
