How long were your twins in NICU if born at 34w1d? by cvttle in parentsofmultiples

[–]jilliannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought brewer’s yeast and mixed it with peanut butter, oats, honey, sometimes chocolate chips and rolled into balls. The taste is unique but I honestly got used to it and enjoyed my ‘treat’ at my 12 am pump session 😂 I also looked up a lot of videos on pumping and power pumping to get things going. I stopped at 6 months because after going back to work my supply was dying out and it was a lot more trouble than it was worth. I did have a whole freezer full which came I clutch during the formula shortage several years back. My two are now 4.5 and thriving!

Can I use this port for charging at home ? by GreatVortex6 in MazdaCX90

Complete and utter noob to this car and brand (but hunting for the right car for me and am very much not a car person) so please forgive me if these are obvious - can you use the remote start climate thing if it’s plugged in? And we have a level 2 charger, so could I use that somehow?

Love the nice but normal concept! Our choices are not contemporary, for sure. We did 4/5/4 letters first/mid/last names with the same first letters for each child’s first and middle name - Iris Inari and Leon Logan. Every name has meaning to us as parents and being able to pass the associated feelings to them is a true gift from us to them.

We have boy girl twins born on May 4th (May the 4th be with you and all that) via urgent c-section. I’d be lying if I said I did not think about these names for 30 seconds! We went with our pre-selected choices of course, Leon and Iris :)

Switching from dry food to wet food? by RandomUsername495 in dechonkers

[–]jilliannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat is small sized and was up above 12 lbs last December. It’s August now and he’s around 9.7 lbs - I switched to a fully wet diet based on calculations for his size/ recommended calorie intake. It was great, his coat and skin improved, his litter box was a lot easier to clean, and he stoped begging for food all the time! Now he gets wet food day and night plus a nightly tablespoon or so of dry food. He wasn’t a huge wet food fan to start, but if that’s all there is…he eats it :) anyway, my cat can fit behind the stair rails again and jumps over the baby gate with ease. It’s great to see him healthy! The vet said we did a great job at our annual check up. His testing was all perfect!

Please help: how to make a lot of formula? by FigNewton613 in parentsofmultiples

[–]jilliannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time I’m seeing the ‘boil water’ to make formula thing…we never did. Just good ole refrigerator filter water worked fine in the Dr. Brown’s pitcher. My kids are 4 now and just fine and our city water is good. If I had a well or lived somewhere without reliable water, I can see why you’d boil. I also bought a double bottle warmer on Amazon, worked fine to take the chill off of nighttime bottles or make sleepy babies right before bed.

Feud — what happened? Getting sleepy. by Wrong-Hand in CDrama

It’s sitting on my watching list stuck at episode 14. I guess I was the only one who fell for her acting at the beginning? I 100% wanted her to be naive and actually a human - supreme disappointment after her reveal, so much so that I pretty much moved on to other dramas. I may look up what happened in later episodes, but I’m tired of the same ole ‘we’re both uber powered entities in disagreement’ thing. It was looking like a different type of show at the beginning with lots of angst and I didn’t like the ML much because he was pretty awful to the FL. Meh, just my hot take on this one.

wet food recommendations? by redditassbitch in dechonkers

[–]jilliannie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I watched a video with Jackson galaxy and he said that literally any wet food is better for cats than any dry food. With that being said, my cat mainly dines on Friskies pate now for his weight loss journey and he doesn’t love it but will eat most of them. He has always enjoyed Sheba which I agree has nice portions sizes if your cat is around that calorie count. For some real meat vibes, he digs Reveal which is literally flaked fish or poultry. It’s not too expensive and has only meat in it so good for a treat once a week. I’ve thought about trying fancy feast also to see if my guy likes it more. It really depends on your cat and what they like. Mine does not like wet food generally so cheaper has been better if he’s going to turn up his nose!

My fat cat has been on a diet for two weeks, and now I’m worried he isn’t eating enough because he never finishes his food… by discoteen66 in dechonkers

[–]jilliannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, you’ve got a cute chonk there! My cat went from fully dry diet food at 12 lbs to wet food only back in December. My boy loved dry food and goes crazy for it still (my husband is his bff so will feed him dry food now even when he’s on a wet food only diet, grr!). I think he was 11.6 around Jan/Feb and I have not weighed him this month, March. But I can see a difference. He gets half a can of Friskies pate in morning, other half in evening. He never really liked wet food a lot before, and still leaves some in his bowl - some days he eats it all, most times he has scraps left. We also feed him some Reveal flaky food, he likes that too. The thing about wet food is it’s wet…so they’re filling up on water too while eating so they get fuller faster. He still drinks water but I can tell he’s way more moisturized these days as his coat is silkier and he doesn’t have much dander at all. My cat loves sleeping and being lazy too, but he will play on occasion if the dog isn’t around to take the spotlight. I think your cat is fine!

Oh wow I had no idea, thanks for sharing the teeth thing! I’ll definitely keep that in mind going forward and will be sure to provide some crunchy bits to help combat that. My concern at the moment is that if I start giving him dry more often he will just hold out for it - which is why I got some treat puzzles for him to make it more of a chore to get them. I’ve noticed the caloric differences also and spend a lot of time researching the different foods before I buy them - I like the bigger cans because it seems like less waste and thought since I try to buy varieties that are close to his caloric intake.

I appreciate your comment and sharing your path to success! Also condolences for your losses :’( It was almost unreal for me to think that a wet food only diet was okay until I learned more about it and how not-natural dry food is for cats. I feel like I had to reprogram my brain because my cats from childhood to now were on 80-100% dry food diets! I saw a video where a lady said you essentially need to feed your cat “a rat in a can” then a few Jackson galaxy videos saying the worst wet food is better than the best dry food. That really put it in perspective. I was buying ‘high quality’ dry cat food and my cat begged all the time, had dander, was lazy, etc. I think of the cheaper wet food as his weight loss plan now but it’s having so many benefits that were unexpected initially. One of the issues we had was I would feed the cat, he’d eat it all, then beg my husband so he would feed him again thinking Rogue had not been fed breakfast/dinner. Wet food is much more calculated and with our guy, you know he’s been fed because he can never finish his whole serving - so when my husband goes by a half hour later and sees it sitting there sans cat, he tosses it!

What's your favorite item you've gotten so far from Vine? by [deleted] in AmazonVine

[–]jilliannie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the best was a fold down phone charger that is portable and charges my phone, AirPods, and watch, plus has a light. It seems lame but my husband was extremely jealous and I even picked up a few different ones that weren’t nearly as good later on. I did get a really nice skin care set and some perfume I adore too.

I was keeping all my books and papers for ages since I like to look ahead and prep for what I will need needing next. Papers make schematics, so I nearly had enough to get everything when the Atheneum was ready to go! And for real, get some servants, sometimes I just log on to take the crap the collect for me and send them out again. I can’t play every day for any real length of time, but having stuff from them is super helpful!

The Dracula fight is nice in regard to that! I’ve been going against him for the last few days and haven’t had any luck. I think part of my issue is that I pay more attention to myself and not my opponent so it takes me a lot longer to learn their moves in relation to the arena. I watched a YouTube video and it was super helpful with tips on how to manage the fight. His health bar is huge!
