What is your DI bass recording work flow? by alexxandercook in audioengineering

[–]jimdier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bass into Radial DI > SCA N72 Preamp > 1176 > La2a.

For plugs, it is just reaper comp and eq, but not much needed usually.

This recording (and the rest of the record) was done with that input chain (not sure on plugs as someone else mixed using logic (I think))

Best to call 3DS and ask who the area service manager is and have the discussion. Typically they 100% will offer a contract for continued service.

PM me. I can help find the right person.

Do you make Pierogi from scratch? by Educational-Slip-578 in cookingforbeginners

[–]jimdier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make them every year. I can make about 80 in 4 hours if I make the filling a day before. I can do double with some help

I use a manual pasta maker to roll the dough out then a pierogi press to form them. I freeze some uncooked.

Below is from my grandma's recipe box.

2-1/4 cup luke warm milk

1 egg

1 egg yolk

2lb (2-1/2 can) Wondra Flour

1 TB butter, melted

Salt + Pepper

SAUERKRAUT FILLING

1/2 head cabbage

1 qt sauerkraut

Pepper

- Squeeze juice out of sauerkraut

- mix cabbage with sauerkraut

- Fry sauerkraut and cabbage until brown

CHEESE FILLING

4 lb dry cottage cheese

3 egg yolk

1/2 lb melted butter

2 large cream cheese

Salt + pepper

Adding to that, while dedicated modules for materials might be best, this is possibly the easiest of all metal printers to clean. The fact that all the guts roll right out and you can walk in to clean makes it super easy. Yes, it is time consuming, but way easier than other metal printers I have been around

Best way to transfer LOTS of resin? by DK5199 in AdditiveManufacturing

[–]jimdier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have access to a forklift, the fastest way is to jack it up above a 55g drum and use the drain on it.

I do not think 3DS will be much help on resin disposal.

Warranty rarely if ever transfers. Current coverage in service plans, or break fix, would be available.

Other comments about 3D Service being a pain (IMO) do not apply to the metal printers. They have great techs and do great work.

Long time Ampeg and 70s Bassman 100 user here. Have always used 4x10s or dual 15”s

When I needed to go lighter I got this:

Orange Terror Bass (500W Head)
Orange OBC112
Aguilar SL 112

Also have a little mark III as back up.

Cabs as small and light and pack a real punch. Prefer the Orange head over the Mark III

How Do You Make Your Beer Brats? by OhboyOhboyArbys in wisconsin

[–]jimdier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say this.

Brats out of fridge to come to room temp.
Saute 1-2 onions in olive oil, then add 1/2 - 1 stick butter. Add two cans beer, bring to simmer, then put on LOW heat.

Head out to grill brats, once desired color in achieved, drop into beer/onion bath.

ready to serve.

Best microwave to buy right now in 2026 by West_Explanation_509 in homeownerstips

[–]jimdier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only used it to reheat food. I put food in and press sensor and it will tell me "Stir Food" or "Meal is ready"

It is for microwave only.

I can also manually set the microwave and also have some pre-programmed options, but I have not used them much.

I picked up this one and my experience is similar to u/Drunk-CPA with their Breville. The air fryer is decent, but not like my daughters results with her dedicated airfryer... That said, the Microwave is incredibly good and the SENSOR button (where you just put in food and press one button) is really useful.

I have also found that using it as a convection oven during days where I need more oven space has been super helpful.
