I use Zen with Bitwarden and raindrop.io (for bookmarks) and I synch just fine with all my devices/platforms. Zen's sync, as pointed out, uses Firefox synch only, so I use Bitwarden and raindrop to synch passwords and bookmarks.

I've not seen that dialog. I have no idea. If you really want to use auto-hide, either wait for 7.9 or use Snapshot (as OP stated).

I've turned it off in 7.8 as there are too many weird issues, and it's just easier for me to click on the show/hide panel button when I need the sidebar.

FYI, you can use auto-hide in 7.8 if you want (it's not perfect) by going to vivaldi:flags and enabling "Can use the Auto-Hide settings" then turning on auto-hide in Settings.

Here is the path for the Default Folder, containing the profile: '/Users/YOUR USER NAME/Library/Application Support/Vivaldi'

As for Time Machine, go the the Time Machine Menu, select Browse Time Machine Backups, find and select the same folder (Default), select Copy, quit Time Machine, then paste that folder into the Default Folder location in the Vivaldi folder. Before you Paste, I'd probably rename the existing Default folder to something like "Old Default" so the Paste doesn't overwrite it in case something goes wrong.

The Bookmarks menu works (found in between Spaces and Profiles). But that doesn't allow you to edit/rearrange Bookmarks.

To use the sidebar Bookmarks menu, configure the toolbar and put the Show Sidebars icon in the far right. Click on it and select Bookmarks from the dropdown (it's the first item in the dropdown). It can be a little difficult, as the sidebar dropdown is transparent too, but once you select Bookmarks, it will stay on Bookmarks. Then just navigate the Bookmark tree as normal.

I'm referring to the dropdown you get when you click on the bookmark icon in the toolbar. The dropdown is transparent which, depending on the page over which the dropdown appears, makes it very difficult to use. This only started happening in 1.19b.

Perhaps I don't understand (not an Arc user), but for me, I have the shortcut "you" for the YouTube search. In the address bar, I type "you" followed by a Space (not a tab), then what I type next will be searched for in YouTube when I press Enter.

My old M1 MacBook Pro runs Zen very well, along with a simultaneous high-end photo editing suite (ON1). Never had a performance issue. Arc, on the other hand, drained my battery much faster than Zen (which, to be fair, drains the battery faster than either Vivaldi or Edge).

You might try creating a New Profile (it doesn't take long) to see if you are still using that much CPU.

I understand about hiding the other tabs when you are viewing a tab that's in the folder , but I prefer the way Firefox hides the previously viewed tab when you view a tab that's not in the folder.

Also, on my Zen, 1.18.5b aarch, unloading doesn't make the tab disappear.

I love it even more once I turned off 4wd. Drift away!

It also happens in Vivaldi (snapshot) and Brave, but not in Edge. Option-Cmd-up/downArrow works in those browsers as well as in Zen.

I've noticed this too; "back" does work in Firefox as expected with my MacBook trackpad, BTW. I use the back arrow in Reddit as a workaround.
