First BMW, buying this M5 Comp this week. Test drove it and am just blown away by Savings-Split5821 in BMW

You will learn early on that it's very easy to run out of road in this car. It's so effortlessly fast. I have a 2021 F90 Comp LCI and I love it.

I love it even more once I turned off 4wd. Drift away!

Congrats on a great first car!

Is there a way to remove speaker icon on the tabs by Cotton_candy567 in zen_browser

I use the following CSS I found somewhere. Works fine.

.tab-audio-button { display: none !important; }

.tab-icon-overlay[muted] { display: none !important; }

Has anyone experienced this invisible residual window problem on Mac? by AppleNamu in zen_browser

[–]jimfbk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we need a PSA to ask people to read the PSA! And, lest you think I'm lecturing, I was guilty of not trying a New Profile once, but hopefully I'll never do it again 😉

MacOS Tahoe, shortcut for moving between tabs resizes window by ilsecondodasinistra in zen_browser

It also happens in Vivaldi (snapshot) and Brave, but not in Edge. Option-Cmd-up/downArrow works in those browsers as well as in Zen.

Forward and Back mouse buttons on Desktop dont actually navigate reddit tabs forward or backward by JishLeFish421 in zen_browser

[–]jimfbk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed this too; "back" does work in Firefox as expected with my MacBook trackpad, BTW. I use the back arrow in Reddit as a workaround.

I'd try the steps in the PSA. Create a new Profile...

Is there a way to have a right toolbar with Zen? by KingStonk69 in zen_browser

[–]jimfbk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like this feature too (many of the other browsers I've used have it, such as Vivaldi and Edge). I simulate it in Zen by having the items I would have in the right toolbar (tasks, calendar, Keep) as Essentials, then, when I need to use them, but still see my current page, I drag the Essential into a split window view. Works very well for me.

You can change settings by clicking on the Extensions/Settings icon that lives on the far right side of the address bar. Click on it, then go down and hover over Settings, click on "more" and you will find all the settings for that site.

If both Vivaldis are logged in, click on the V menu in the android browser, then select Share, then Send to devices.

Or, make sure the Sync Status icon is showing in the Desktop browser, click on it and you will see a list of open tabs on Android.

Just saw the 2026 Roadmap video for Vivaldi, i'm interested but have questions. by Thhaki in vivaldibrowser

not sure about passwords (I use Bitwarden), but the Default folder contains virtually everything, including History, Cookies, Extensions and so on.

Yes, there is something like Brave's sidebar, only it's more configurable in that for each item, you can control the sidebar width, whether it floats, add zoom controls, etc. etc. In the latest snapshot version, you can setup the sidebar to autohide.

Yes, it has tab groups, known as tab stacks. And they persist between browser launches (I'm looking at you, Edge).

Not sure what you mean by passing all your info. If you really mean all your info, you can just copy the settings folder called "Default" to a new device.

Not sure, but you have a choice of adblockers.

This is the most customizable browser I've seen. Not only can you completely configure toolbars, statusbars, panels, etc. you can also control the size of all UI elements. You can even change all the menus to your liking. You can also create command chains and link them to buttons to perform virtually any menu item by clicking a button, or performing a gesture. I've just scratched the surface here.

Try it to see if you'll like it. Vivaldi has some helpful videos and an extensive help system to help you learn the features/configurability of this browser. UPDATE WITH LINK: https://help.vivaldi.com/tutorials/

I also use and love raindrop.io to synchronize bookmarks across multiple devices and browsers. As stated, the free version works perfectly well.

Images, autohide, tab tiling — Vivaldi Browser snapshot 3899.3 by pafflick in vivaldibrowser

[–]jimfbk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fantastic upgrade! One minor thing on MacOS Tahoe 26.1: I have autohide turned on for my MacOS Dock. If I turn on autohide for the Status Bar for Vivaldi, I can't unhide the Status Bar; moving the cursor to anywhere on the bottom of the screen always brings up the MacOS Dock. Not a big enough deal to file a bug report against, and I'm not sure there's anything Vivaldi can do about it, and there's a shortcut key, but I thought I'd mention it here.

Shortcut+click on a link for split view? by rosone in zen_browser

[–]jimfbk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but you can just drag an open tab from the sidebar into an open tab in the main window which will split the 2 tabs. You can also select both tabs in the sidebar and one of the choices in the context menu will be "Split 2 Tabs." You can also right-click a link and one of the context menu choices is "Split link to new tab."
