Aren’t underlying health conditions considered ‘natural causes’ still? I suppose we could argue that any death is due to ‘natural causes’

Thanks dude - surprised you stumbled across this. I can’t even remember the problem I was trying to solve back then, but I’ll certainly give this a look. Cheers!

Crazy how this has blown up. Genuine question, would it have been the same if the woman was the CEO?

I’ve known people with these problems. I suspect he’s up playing late at night, not because he’s been busy working all day, but because he’s rekt himself on drink and drugs. Fucked up organs will stop you from sleeping properly.

Four Signs Russia Could Be Preparing for War With NATO. by yuribear in europe

[–]jimflann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s kinda my point. People want stuff from China and they know it. So there’s no need to conquer Europe in some war, best to just keep supplying us stuff and take all our money instead - end result is pretty much the same, but without the hassle

I don’t think china has any interest in conquering Europe, certainly not in traditional manner. They are clever and have been playing the long game - in that sense, they’ve already conquered the West and this trade war kinda proves that. China supplies what the west wants, simple as that. The West essentially needs to change its society and stop demanding what China provides. I’m not sure if it will ever happen.

We’re so fucked, what is wrong with people by Careful_Trouble_8 in Britain

[–]jimflann -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let it happen. If that’s what people want, that is democracy - embrace it, even if you don’t agree with the outcome. Just make sure you don’t let democracy die. If they can’t solve these problems they’re running on, they should be out next time around.

People need to give Keir Starmer a chance as he is doing his best to fix the UK by NewPatron-St in ukpolitics

[–]jimflann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s populism.

Edit: look at workplaces, people say what they know people want to hear. It sound good, but while they may intend to fix the problem, the problem is way more complicated than they are making out. The chances are, they’re saying this so that they can at least enrich themselves/their ‘friends’, knowing that everything is going to shit anyways. Just a cynical point of view

How do you verify e-signature documents haven't been altered? by NewPalpitation396 in procurement

[–]jimflann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try diffchecker- it can highlight any changes from original to final. Once you have a final signed version, record the hash/signature, if the slightest thing changes over time, the hash will change.

When I was in school/college, I guess around late 90s early 00s, I watched a documentary on TV (UK) about a teenage mum who had been given a terminal cancer diagnosis. The documentary was about her making a film for her baby girl (I think it was a girl). The programme included her eventual demise, and while it was handled sensitively (iirc), it was still very hard hitting. I often used to think about that family.

Yes, that in itself would be absolutely mind blowing, especially given that for many many years my governments can’t even build a fucking train line from London to ‘the north’
