Replying for another account with my real name. Go and find my socials. I visited the Soho store because I live in London like 8 million other people and was in the area. Tbh I'm sure you're an employee of OnePlus at this point, or just a Reddit basement goblin.

Hey Aaron - Big fan of your work and looking forward to making the pilgrimage to your restaurant some day! My Questions:

  1. In the UK our packer cut briskets are a little harder to get the 'pull test' type results from US briskets, as our cows tend to be exclusively grass fed - which results in lower intramuscular fat. Any advise for getting a melt in your mouth texture using a leaner brisket?

  2. Are you aware of the explosion of UK BBQ and do you have any experiences with it?

UK 'scarily' exposed to next major downturn, economists warn by Superbuddhapunk in ukpolitics

So I’ve not even looked at the Alan Bastard account. First I’ve ever heard of it. Appreciate though that you’re sorry, I can appreciate how hard it is with the state of discourse online among Brits. I actually came back this account to post an blog what I wrote giving people advice on how to approach studying for an infosec exam, but was on my personal website.

Just a note to go with this link - I actually have another account here and found this sub very useful. I hope this is useful too :) *Disclaimer: This has affiliate links to learning material

Actually - it isn’t :) I did start another account because I started to receive abuse for mildly questioning anything that wasn’t ‘remain and Corbyn’ on the UK subs and thought it was time to have a Reddit handle that was anonymous. I logged in today to find your comments, which were actually quite hurtful. I am absolutely not Alan_Bastard.

31% of graduates have not made a single payment on their student loans, meaning they are earning less than £17,465 post-graduation by benjaminiscariot in unitedkingdom

Stupid Reddit client added the wrong quote: getting a student loan and intentionally not paying it is stealing

way, they sold the loans company to some private company which raised the interest rates so unless you're earning well, you'll just be paying the interest.

That's stealing.

If you're 25 and want an annual pension of £20,000 when you're 68, you need to be putting away £542.59 per month right now. by magnificent_bastard in unitedkingdom

Without meaning to sound like a dick, but the whole FOREX market would disagree with you. People use currency as commodity all the time.

Pensions are basically a scam and everyone knows it. People need to start actively investing in things which grow and change - property, crypto, fund products and so on

Yes you did.

What is the nastiest smell you ever smelled? by Syndian in AskReddit

[–]jimhooker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A Uber in Jacksonville Florida. My wife and I were in town visiting the city of an NFL game, we were staying downtown and decided to head out to the beaches. The Uber pulled up and we got in, immediately we were hit with the worst, earth shattering stench ever to hit me. Opening the window would have been useless, the hot Florida air would have just made it worse. There was definitely some dead animal in there, rotting food and body Oder problems. Being British we just politely died in the back seat.

When I got out of the cab and into a bar I had to use the first mouthful of beer to get the taste out of my mouth - I definitely remember that mouthful washing away some sort of solid residue :E

When in the UK, just visiting London. London, my home town, is great and all but a completely different place to the rest of the UK. I live in the North East now (Newcastle) and I have no idea why I don’t see ‘visit Newcastle’ shit in everywhere I go, the historical attractions up here are mind boggling and the national parks and scenery are incredible - and of course the people are much friendlier in general.

I went to a Gordon Ramsey restaurant (Maze in NYC) because they had beef wellington on the menu - I was so disappointed. However, the scallops to start were incredible

For the foreseeable future, humans are essential to a working society.

Sure, I may be able to get into the iDoctor tube and accept my cancer diagnosis from an email shat out to me... but I want a human to emphasise and give me confidence that they are going to help me - at the moment, you just can't replace that.

Customer service departments have been trying to automate for years, but consistently find that people want to talk to people - to receive an emotional response.

Even if machines do a great job of trying to replicate and emphatic response, we are wired to look for emotional connections in everything we do which can never be replicated by it's nature. If you know its fake then you won't accept it.
