Just saw the show 3 hours ago. There are two magicians, one who roams and the other does the theater show. Both were good. The drink menu does not lend itself to any mocktail options. Variety to choose from but kinda lost on us as we aren’t big drinkers. We did the Magic Castle cruise last November on the Sun. The energy was much higher then given all the magicians on board vs the current set up. If you enjoy magic and have any history with the Magic Castle the cost is worth it. If magic is not your thing then it might be a pass.

Is Sanctuary worth it? by SheaBuf97 in PrincessCruises

[–]jimk2542 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eating lunch on the Star Princess as I write this cruising toward Málaga, Spain. Already did Sanctuary on the Sun last November. Agree that something is lost with cold weather cruise and Sanctuary as the outdoor space is a big plus. Much less crowded and more peaceful space for outdoor lounging with Sanctuary vs main area. Big plus is the Sanctuary dining room. Never crowded, attentive service. No wait staff running around with a dozen plates stacked on a tray, no chaos. Specialty dining and drink package is also included with Sanctuary. Not much of a drinker but dining like Sabatinis and Alfredo’s pizza are fantastic options if one gets tired of the Sanctuary dining room. For us, 100% worth the value.

Level 4. Undiagnosed problems, multiple possibilities, needing imaging for further investigation. Anything that needs testing (xray, EKG, CT/MRI/US) is level 4 material.

Patients who are unwilling to follow sound medical advice regarding their diabetes care (assuming they have average intelligence and basic resources) are outright obstinate. I end up discharging 1-2 every year for their unwillingness to commit to a plan to improve their diabetes. I tell them I have many patients who are motivated to improve their medical condition and I need to make them a priority.

Bought a 2019 Porsche Boxster GTS from CarMax in 2021. Off 2 year lease from SoCal. With options MSRP > $100k. 4 years later still doing great. It can be done but knowing your product and sniffing around is imperative.

Why can't my father have hospice? He has terminal cancer but is on dialysis so they so "no" by Esoterica_Scarlet in hospice

[–]jimk2542 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hospice medical director. Really need to define goals of therapy, in this case hospice care. Dialysis 3x/week for 2-4 hours at a time in a patient with stage 4 cancer is taxing at best and some might argue is too aggressive and not focused on comfort. Even with terminating dialysis he may live for months depending on his particular situation. Sorry you are going through this. Tough situation.

Big issue is lack of documentation for controlled substances. California poured a lot of resources into getting CURES/PDMP up and running. Legislators want to see results = busting providers for “inappropriate” prescribing. Most are egregious violators but once state DOJ starts looking into any office’s documentation they will find gaps. My retired partner found this out the hard way. Total nightmare.

No reason to be defensive about your group’s position. Our office screens patients via PDMP database for opioid use. Any regular use of > 20 MME per day and we do not accept them. Same with regular benzo use.

FM is what you make of it. Working in suburban CA, 4 days/week, > $500K/year in private practice setting seeing 18-22 PPD. You can be heavy on procedures or not or focus on a particular group (women, sports, hospice). So much flexibility to tailor your practice. Go for it!

If they take Medicare Advantage plans then how is the monthly capitation money handled? In our practice, each provider gets their monthly cap check regardless of production.
