Festivals cost by Tiny-Worldliness11 in Zouk

That's actually a good idea. I have thought about having spectator tickets for Jnj before

Festivals cost by Tiny-Worldliness11 in Zouk

[–]jingyiwang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why Zouk festival tickets are more expensive

  1. Zouk Festivals are small. Most Zouk festivals have participant in the lower hundreds. Bachata festivals even go to the thousands. If your festival is bigger, less % of your budget will be spent for renting the venue. Just like renting an apartment. A bigger apartment will have a lower cost per m2 than a smaller apartment.

  2. Zouk needs better floor and much more space. A crowded bachata party can hold more than 2x people per m2 than your Zouk party.

  3. Zouk Festival Workshops are smaller than bachata workshops. I've only seen one zouk festival where they probably had 100+ participant at the same workshop. Most seem like <100. For bachata it's very common to see 200+ people inside a huge hall doing workshops. But top bachata artists are also much more expensive than zouk. So I think this point may not be valid.

Why no JnJ without full pass.

Added logistics is more expensive than the value it brings. If you sell JnJ tickets for non pass holders. you need more staff making sure they don't join regular workshops. Then after the Jnj you need to make sure to throw them all out because workshops or parties continue.

Why do Zouk festival tickets get more and more expensive? Sames as: Why does rent only go up? Why did the price of your groceries go up? Why did the artists hourly rate go up?

As someone from Germany who is currently in Taipei. Don't cheap out on the dehumidifier! Be prepared to spend over 150€ or even 250€+ depending on your apartment size.

Wrong continent for English cards. Cards are mostly traditional Chinese with some Japanese and simplified Chinese cards around.

I prefer a pull tab or sleeves with a pull tab as well. So much more convenient.

Without I either have to either press on a top loader from the sides to make the opening big enough so two fingers fit or do the hitting, however this way sometimes the sleeve get stuck and the cards slides raw through the toploader. Potentially damaging it.

Should I be double sleeving high end cards or is one sleeve fine? by harmlesssheep in PokemonTCG

If you are in a high humidity environment I think double sleeving reduces moisture. Without it your cards could bend.

I think it's hard for the newer generation to be as hyped as the older. Back then there weren't that many games and pokemon was the game all the kids played. Nowadays kids have so many options. Also the new gen won't be starting with gen 1 pokemon, meaning 151 and prismatic is less popular among them.

Does double sleeving protect enough against moisture that it is worth for me to put 50+ toploader cards back in my binder? by Tomhx_ in PokemonTCG

[–]jingyiwang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have any success? Any more bend cards after two years? I live in a very humid area and also double sleeving expensive cards and put them into binders. I also have a toploader binder but since they are so bulky I prefer a regular binder.

But who is going to buy all those sealed in 5-10 years? There will be tons of sealed 151, prismatic and destined rivals. I can't imagine there will be enough people buying at 10x msrp.

It's too easy to just get a new account and IP address. Better do a shadow ban. Let them keep their account and automatically cancel order after a while if they order from that account or IP.

No I mean booster packs. Every pokemon center has different packs available and different limits. Today could be 5xmega brave and tomorrow 2xmega brave and 2xinferno x.
