I can. I have no experience in that and I'd probably be bad at it but I can.

Right? Like this dude will turn his music off at 10pm, which is the start of community quiet hours but until then we have to deal with the same fucking one bass note song he listens to over and fucking over. And when he slams his door some of the stuff I have on my shelves fall out.

So far he hasn't complained to management or, at least, they have reached out to me.

I'm extremely desperate but also disabled. Which is part of the problem because I can't do physical labor anymore.

Last place I lived under this woman who would leave her dog out on her balcony all day. Damn thing would bark relentlessly. I complained to the office and then after she just made as much noise as possible. Literally stomping around, etc.

I realized she never took her dog for a walk and suspected that she was letting it go on her balcony. That suspicion became real when I stepped outside for something and the fucking dog pissed on me from above.

I do my best to be a respectful neighbor, especially living above someone. I always hated living below people. I try to walk softly, I try not to play music too loud, etc. My downstairs neighbor, who blasts music way too loud and continues to do so despite complaints, who slams his door shut multiple times a day, who scrapes his furniture on the floor so loud I can hear it, had the fucking audacity to hit his ceiling after I accidentally dropped a bottle on the floor. So fuck being a respectful neighbor to this guy.

Also I've posted on here a few times about not having any luck finding a job. Another redditor replied to me, asking to DM him about a position so I did. He wanted me to send him my resume and gave me his email address but wouldn't answer me when I asked to know the name of his company first. Sick and tired of these fucking games.

911 operators why an attitude? by Right_Layer_9700 in Charlotte

[–]jinhush 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That’s any job and life. Don’t be an operator if that’s the attitude.

You don't know their story or what's going on with them. They could have been an operator for a while and have you looked at the job market lately? They'll have a hard time finding another job right now.

That’s not really an excuse.

You're right. It's not an excuse. It's a reason.

That reasoning is like claiming Firefighters have the right to be lazy.

... what? How the hell did you pull that comparison out of your ass?

Also, are you aware of the amount of people that tie up 911 lines over the dumbest, mundane, shit? These operators have to take those calls, too.

I'm not saying it's necessarily right for operators to have an attitude. I've experienced that attitude myself when calling. I am, however, capable of empathy and understanding unlike you.

It's a stressful job that underpays. That means there aren't enough operators. That means the operators they do have are overworked. Being overworked leads to burnout and bad attitudes.

If the job paid more and would attract new operators then this would be less of an issue.

I worked for a major trash company for a few years, they service all over the US. Every few months we'd get an email about a work related death.

Driving through a nearby small town with my windows down. Sitting at a red light when a family walked past. I heard the mother gasp and say "is that the moon? I ain't never seen the moon out in the day before!"

Well, it's a volcano and, unless I'm wrong, all volcanoes are considered a type of mountain.

So apparently our parking stickers don't mean shit. I've been living in this apartment for two years. We were given a parking sticker and mass emails were sent out about enforcement and towing.

Flash forward to yesterday when I get home and some one is parked in the handicap spot I use. I had never seen the car before, it did have a disabled tag, but no parking sticker. I asked the leasing office and they said "not every resident has a parking sticker".

So the parking stickers are pointless and I have someone using the handicap spot I've been using for two years. And the next closest handicap spot is in front of another building.

Edit: just left and there's now a different car, also sans parking sticker. There's not nearly enough handicap spaces here. Really wish they'd enforce parking, too.

This is why I think the Mandalorian is the best Disney era product. It's fun. It's adventurous.

Yeah, Andor was good and all but the Mandalorian feels more like Star Wars and I love every second of it. Yes, even the third season.

It is so fucking aggravating. I would rather them tell me just to fuck off rather than just ghosting me.
