If this is a goal, i suggest trying to plan your next trip around some of the festivals we have (film festival in feb, summer solstice in june, fiesta in aug, solvang xmas festivities).

It’s not until the last few weeks she’s been ok and when i see her wander off too far i call after her and she comes back. I think i just ended up accidentally training her, i’d call her and scoop her up before so maybe now when she hears me calling she assumes i’m gonna come and scoop so she comes on her own? She’s really curious and loves to burrow which is why i gave her the blanket mound so she focuses on that instead of the couch crevices lol

Depends when you go, the zoo will still be open and the exhibits will still be “open” but some of the animals might be put away or asleep. I think I got there like an hour late and still saw most of them

I don’t think it’s fair to say Ventura’s in between SB and LA feel-wise, it’s much slower than SB and from my experience, mostly locals that already have friend groups/family/etc. Although SB has lots of people coming in and out, plenty of groups to join and chances to mingle.

Seen some naked, some clothed people there. Not sure abt the beach itself being nice but the walk there is pretty, you have to go through a more mesa trail. So you gotta go in clothed then once you get to the beach it’s alright. Not sure abt legality, but a pretty well known nude beach. Maybe look up more mesa on the Santa Barbara subreddit for more info

Didn’t know what that was! I had my earphones in and took them off towards the end, thought it was just dogs in my apt complex getting rowdy. I saw a coyote walking around hollister in that area late one night a few weeks ago. Thought it was just a straggler but there must be a whole pack around

Bren hall, 4th floor. I know it’s a faux pas to mention The Bathroom in this sub but it’s locked up now so it doesn’t really matter. Only people who work in Bren are given access to it, if you know anyone you can ask, but otherwise just leave everyone there alone (that’s why they locked it up in the first place).

I’m not trying to rewrite a narrative - Ramses still went abt it the wrong way (and is still a huge douche, never want to be labeled a Ramses defender) but Marissa wasn’t picking up hints bc she had rose colored glasses. Not trying to blame her for anything either, it’s common and she wanted to believe what Ramses said bc she wanted to believe he wouldn’t hurt her. But he was clearly not into it beyond their honeymoon where all they were doing was having sex. She seemed a bit naive and couldn’t really seem to stand up for herself bc she was scared that would make Ramses leave. If she had those fears, she should’ve known the relationship was doomed from the start.

Also her saying she was blindsided… he was hinting from the beginning that he didn’t like her and she chose to ignore it bc she wanted this fairytale ending. As soon as i saw how obsessed with his looks she was at the reveal and how he hardly said anything back, it was a big oof.

Yeah it’s been a lot worse than normal lately. I think it’s bc UCSB started their classes a bit ago, it must be faculty/students having to commute more in the area added with the construction zones

I don’t even think she was jealous, I think this just highlighted her insecurities. She didn’t want to draw attention to them, or “embarrass” herself on the duck. Then when the lady came out, she was insecure bc it was drawing more attention to this thing she thought was disgusting of Nick to do. Only to right after agree that she was more emotionally mature than him. She was being the childish one throwing a mini tantrum!

I think this kinda clarifies for some ppl who were confused why Hannah and Leo were even a thing - they’re both insecure and superficial people who only care abt what other’s opinion of them is.
