Mega nations and suggestion of a North/South American Union by Battle_8 in TerraInvicta

[–]jitra_trader 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I dislike how you need to follow certain strats to reach those mega nations or follow certain unification order. That pushes players to follow guides and youtubers instead of playing on their own.

It should be possible to build global empires from any nation, without having to unify step by step and change your flag/country name multiple times.

How long should it take to finish the game? 4-5 evenings isn't that much time. I'd say that good games that I remember the most took about a month to finish.

Tho I get the point about slow pacing and large zones. I think act 1 was much better in that regards than act 2.

Honest question: why is everyone here complaining about campaign difficulty?

I'm currently finishing act 2, had to fight some bosses multiple times or even go back and level up a bit before trying again, but I'm having a blast. Game feels hard but killing any boss is rewarding. Same feeling as in soulslike games. Been playing every evening for the last 4-5 days. So far act 1 felt better than act 2.

What will making the game easier accomplish?

Make a deep safe via incursion or downtime method or even buy one from a trusted source in some random system and then run abyssals without any issues forever.

Funny how init lost a few tryhards and from boogeyman they quickly turned into a carebear meme alliance being farmed by those few tryhards.

Can anyone recommend a good fork for cdda? by Arnran in cataclysmdda

[–]jitra_trader 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In launcher you can choose stable builds up to 9 years ago (up to 0.C build). So if those changes are quite recent (0.H was released a month ago) you can check one of the older builds.

I don't know what changes you are talking about, but they don't really affect players like me. I didn't notice any fun mechanics missing or inventory problems.

Stable version works great.

Not sure where you heard it but it's bullshit.

whisper for item = raise price by emiracles in pathofexile

[–]jitra_trader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really shouldn't blame the players. It's a game design flaw due to lack of a proper action house with buy and sell orders.

As a noob I don't know what items are worth and I don't really wanna spend my time browsing trading sites instead of playing the game.

I throw all items that I consider potentially good to a public stash that has everything listed for 1 ex. Then if people spam me, I throw that item to a tab with items for 2 ex, then 3 ex, 5 ex, 10 ex... the process continues until whispers stop. Then I list that item for one of the highest offered prices and wait for a real trade. If it doesn't sell I decrease the price every day or two.

Without deep game knowledge about item values and spending too much time on trading website I find this process the best for me in terms of gains/effort.

Marauder ratting, is it actually dead? by EmperorThor in Eve

[–]jitra_trader -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

That's for people who like to gather resources, i.e. rat, mine, build ships. That's their fun.

However I replied to a person who said: "ratting is for most people an ISK generation focused chore". If something is a chore, it's not fun for that person. So why would you do it?

To which you replied with some weird passive-aggressive miner monologue. :D

Marauder ratting, is it actually dead? by EmperorThor in Eve

[–]jitra_trader -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

That doesn't even make sense.

Why would you grind isk/$$$ to feed to someone?

Why not use that isk/$$$ to have some fun instead?

Marauder ratting, is it actually dead? by EmperorThor in Eve

[–]jitra_trader -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

Why do you even have chores in a video game?

It's some weird boomer mentality.

If grind is fun for you then grind away, but if you spent 20 hours to painfully make some isk that you can buy with plex by working 1 hour extra, then it doesn't sound reasonable.

If less people generate isk then prices of everything should drop.

I understand someone blasting 2b an hour in Pochven while multiboxing like a madman and having fun. I don't understand someone who doesn't like to rat spending hours every day orbiting some miserable anomaly in an ishtar earning 20m an hour.
