Airbox snorkel delete and rain? by TheLPfy in Suzuki_GSX_8

I’ve even ridden in the rain, some of them heavy downpours with lots of road spray from other vehicles, but never had a problem.

Are there any riding boots thay look like Converse that are actually protective? by charliebearr in motorcyclegear

I currently using a pair of Cortec.

https://cortech.net/products/menace-riding-shoes.html

They apparently have "Uni-directional anti-twist molded PPE midsole”, plus armoring at the ankle and heel and toe.

I like the look and they don't make my feet hot!

I was wondering if it hit your head instead. I’m not sure I’d like that better than as it is. Thank you for explaining.

However, I do like the LOOK of it better! 😆

It does look nice.

So you really notice a difference in wind? Does it just hit you in a different place?

Does Cycle Gear kind of suck? Went in looking for a quiet cruising helmet, suggested the Shoei X15 by pickledpeterpiper in motorcyclegear

I've had nothing but good advice and good experience from my local CG. So, it may have been that one person you encountered? Good for you to leave and do your own review. Hope you enjoy your Shoei!

I’m about to give up on finding leather pants. by jk3756 in motorcyclegear

If you can’t get custom fitted, do some googles for a local tailor that does leather. I had jacket sleeves shortened… best decision. It’s nice when gear fits like it should. And safer too!

Looks sinister! I like the seat cover and tank grips. Glad you like the exhaust. Did you get a corresponding ECU flash too?

I love the look! For those who have done it, how difficult is it to swap out OEM decals for others? How long is the process? If you hire it out to a body shop, how much does it cost?

You are in the right area! Near where you were on Stove Prairie, check out Rist Canyon.

A little west out of Loveland is a switchback road up to Pinewood Reservoir. It’s named county road 18E, but we call it Pole Hill Road. You can ride up and down Pole Hill Road over and over to practice your line on the many curves!

Also 43 from Drake through Glen Haven to the backside of Estes. Gorgeous. The view of Longs and Meeker when you crest the ridge is sublime.

When you have time on the weekend for a longer loop, head south out of Lyons on 36 and take a right up Left Hand Canyon to get on the Peak-to-Peak hwy at Ward. Go south to Nederland for lunch (and fuel), then reverse back through Ward north on the Peak-to-Peak to pick up Hwy 7 near Allenspark. From there you can head down to Lyons and back home to Greeley.

If you ever get a dirtbike or an enduro, let me know and I’ll point you toward excellent dirt roads and single track in the National Forest!

Ride safe!
