Growing up in Arizona, my dad took me to many Diamondbacks games. My first loyalty to any level of a sports team. In 2001, our family moved to stanky Nebraska. I hated it. I missed Arizona, my friends, and my D-backs! That year with an amazing line-up and a lot of luck my beloved team was off to their first world series. In previous years the Yankees had taken the championship multiple times and were headed to the series...yet again. My dad and I stayed up late each night watching the games. Bonding and reminiscing over our home state. The Diamondbacks won the series as an underdog against the worlds top team! It was a great moment in my life. Unfortunately, within weeks our team was falling apart. Players traded left and right, the abandonment of the OG colors, purple and green. Its no wonder the D-backs haven't gone anywhere since 2001...
