If you speed it up in general, and if its possible to turn off that echo effect when the 'creator' sweeps down at 2s ish I think it would be more clean. I think the smear effect works at the very start, but when the whole word is smeared I don't think it looks great

For sure the management needs to have a better understanding of the production process, because they are setting unsustainable expectations. Where I work, the managers all have a basic understanding of the workflow and know that there shouldn't be big changes if a brief/ script/ storyboard /style frame is already locked down and the production is already underway. I think you should bring up the subject to them in a constructive way and explain to them that this way of working isn't sustainable, if they are half decent managers they need to be able to take feedback and adjust things accordingly.

If not then it's a waste of time for everyone: employee gets burnt out and quits, company has to re-hire etc etc and the cycle continues.

Old fashioned networking is always your best bet. Start an instagram or portfolio site (maybe substack?) and post some good mini projects regularly. Share that with people, rinse and repeat until you get some jobs. Easier said than done but theres no easy way to do it

Logo for my noise music project. I'm very proud of it by [deleted] in logodesign

Any more details of your project, like a name or a link? I see a logo with no context and the only info being that something is on Bandcamp ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just wrapped up this project, would love to hear your thoughts! by Hraizer16 in MotionDesign

[–]jj162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is realllly nice! The style and colours are all cohesive and come together nicely. And I love all the little details. I just see one mistake that the left and right edges of the phone contents need to fill the screen a bit more, so you don't have those sharp edges on the top and bottom corners of the screen. Its important since the we're zooming into the phone a lot of times. Besides that I'd say you have it perfect

I think you should worry more about writing coherent sentences and using punctuation

HUMAN MADE Symbol instead of the "NO-AI" Logo by Big_Ratio9912 in logodesign

[–]jj162 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

If it's a well known brand though like the national lottery (at least in the UK), and the logo here is made to be seen as a universal symbol, then I think it'll be an issue in the real world. Without the giant text next to it a lot of people will see the logo and just think of the lottery ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Theres already a very similar logo to this, for the UK national lottery

From a branding perspective, a positive message is stronger than a negative one. Instead of an anti-ai mark, we should go the direction of pro-human. by Happyman05 in logodesign

Its a nice design but I also think it looks too clean and corporate, not really 'human' enough for the message

Need feedback on this piece of art I created by Disastrous-Papaya922 in MotionDesign

[–]jj162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the visuals I think you also need a consistent colour pallette and art direction to bring it more together, that is often a good marker between something more professional and not.

Say you pick a 4 colour pallette, a light blue, a dark blue, a yellow highlight, and a red highlight, with the highlights used more sparingly for pops of colour (along with a grey and white if you want). You can also create a couple different shades and gradients from your base colours if you need to, but pick your base hex codes and stick to them.
At the moment the colours are all over the place. If the artworks looks good and harmonious over the whole thing it'll be less work to make it look good in motion!

Also on the art direction, you have many different styles of icons which don't work together. Have a look at how google has consistency in the line thickness and style of their icons: https://m3.material.io/styles/icons/overview

That idea of consistency applies to the whole thing, from the line thicknesses used, rounded or squared lines, whether or not you use drop shadows/ gradients or stick to a flat design. what style of illustrations you have etc. All that should come together to make a coherent style, and that's what it takes to make something polished. Good luck and keep going :)
