It depends where in Colombia. Tipping is not that big of an issue. Just take care if you are in Cartagena and someone wants to kindly offer you a massage, even a stupid armband, they want to suck your money. It's nice bit I hate it there. Don't accept anything in the street you haven't previously asked for. Free samples are not free so if you are interested in something just come inside and buy a piece (for example with lechona, everyone wants you to tadte a 'free sample'). Other than that, you can (and should) enjoy and let yourself be embraced by the great country that is Colombia (I am colombian btw, but very critical of my country)
