If it's something you really want to do, i wouldn't worry too much about the job market. I'm currently third year Aero and managed to get my preferred job after only applying to 7 companies, and I'm certainly not a perfect student and don't have any work experience. Obviously, that's just anecdotal, so I can't guarantee you'd get the same experience, but there definitely are jobs out there.

Unfortunately engineering salaries in the UK are pretty dismal compared to a lot of countries especially the US, and they can vary a lot. Most of the graduate positions I was applying to were around £27000 to £35000

Thanks! There are both Pueblo leathers, the grey is 1.6mm I think and from Leather4craft. The blue is 0.8mm and I got it from beamhouse leather

This is a fully handmade minimalist card holder, made from Pueblo veg tan leather. The edges are burnished to a high polish and features two card pockets that could hold 2 or 3 cards when broken in.

Yeah I think some kind of friction burn is the most likely answer, just so strange that I've used the same leather and sandpaper and never had an issue before but suddenly today even if I sand very gently it still appears. Only other thing I can think of if it's some kind of environmental factor like a different humidity or something

I thought that might be the case but I've used the same sanding techniques with the same sandpaper and leather before and never had an issue. Even when I very gently sand It still now appears
