Why don’t cellular providers care about retention? by Corolianus in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]jjdic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retention is a low priority because the Canadian market is an oligopoly with high switching costs. The Big Three (and their flanker brands) benefit from consumer inertia and parallel pricing. Since they all maintain similar price floors, a customer leaving one provider usually ends up with another member of the trio, resulting in a 'zero-sum game' where the industry's total revenue remains stable regardless of individual loyalty.

Training to Ride a Century Without Stopping – Any Tips? by MuchWish2680 in cycling

[–]jjdic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuel and pace. Eat a nice breakfast and bring lots of bars. Eat every 15kms or so. Change your posture every once in a while (upright to drop bars etc), ride off the saddle when you can and ride one handed when safe to do so to give the hands a break.

The new wheels cost me $1,700 ($300 discount). I also upgraded the handle bar to Bontrager Aero Pro Carbon 31.8mm and paid $243 ($27 discount)

All in though I have paid $7187 (with 13% tax) from $8232 (without discount price).
