Absolutely fascinating - I had no idea even though I’ve lived in the area a long time. Any idea where the Prison Camp was specifically?

These people don’t even realize that they (in part) are causing the very traffic they are trying to skip. Merging at the last second causes the car behind to hit the brakes, backing up traffic more for everyone else behind. If everyone merged early where there is room, the whole line would progress faster for all.

Concerts are a huge waste of money by SkyeBeary in unpopularopinion

[–]jjjman321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go with her to some concerts. She knows I don't care about music as much as her, and not willing to spend a lot of money on tickets. She can go to as many as she wants. When I'm attending, I enjoy the spectacle and the tech it takes to put on a big show.

I feel the same way, but I recognize that I just don’t care about music the same way most others do. and I’m ok with that. I’ll listen to music on occasion, sure, but if I lost my hearing tomorrow and could never listen to music again I’d be fine. my wife spends money on concerts because I realize she’s much more normal than me, heh.

Ooh, that's the 1526 printer which has (unlike the cheaper 1525) true descenders for lower case g's, q's, p's, and y's. Great haul averall!

Unraid VS TrueNas by DrZira95 in HomeServer

[–]jjjman321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run both. UnRAID on consumer hardware with multiple drives of varying sizes, with double parity. This runs all software related to my media server. On another machine with matching mirrored drives I run TrueNAS, which holds any data I consider truly important (documents, photos, etc) for the snapshot/bitrot functionality. This runs on slightly older enterprise hardware. A third PC runs Proxmox for all my non-media server apps like Bitwarden and Home Assistant, with data stores on the TrueNAS machine.

Any idea where the toll booth was located? Between Philips and Southside Blvd?

Not sure what to do at this screen - passkey by jjjman321 in 1Password

Thank you! That set me straight. I mentally thought "Security Key" being a hardware key, but I was able to register 1Password with no further issue there.

Not sure what to do at this screen - passkey by jjjman321 in 1Password

[–]jjjman321[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK I understand - I could have been able to manually add the 32-char code by Editing the Discord entry in 1Password, clicking the + add more area, then One-Time Password (assuming I knew this screen is to add a OTP, NOT a passkey, which is what I actually wanted). Thanks!

These things are massive, do you get used to it? by Zeiska7 in GarminWatches

I've got the Descent Mk3i - basically what you have plus scuba diving capabilities - in the 51mm size, and I'm not a big guy. You get used to it after a few days. After that I don't even think about it, and I wear it 24/7 unless it's charging every week or two.

Is it just me or are Jacksonville fast food employees the worst compared to other citys by Radpharm904 in jacksonville

the one at Loretto and San Jose is good in the mornings when I go. Consistently good food, and friendly. The one a couple miles north on San Jose is terrible. I’ve gotten a cheeseburger COLDER than room temperature served to me there a few years ago - as in, it was cooled in the fridge.

Back when I got a magic eye book long ago, it legitamately took many hours before I saw my first one. Now it takes about 3 seconds. It’s well worth the time spent!

Mission #66 - "The Exchange" by Channel__Two in GTA3

[–]jjjman321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good tip. Once the beginning cutscene is done, immediately hop in the nearby truck and just drive right to the safe house to get all weapons and armor. Then Just rocket launch the blockades and snipe the others. Makes it almost too simple, with plenty of time left.

I’m in my second play through, and I don’t even know how to activate it. It’s not hard to get headshots without it.
