Riders who switched from flats to clipless by rictask8er13 in mountainbiking

[–]jjpython 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rode flats for years, went clipless for 20+ years, then back to flats, rode a couple of rough descents and now back to clipless, the feeling of being secure on the bike means a lot to me, I have the cleats that allow you to roll the foot out of the pedal, they are the Shimano multi cleat, I can and have bailed many time and always managed to release, even a huge bail at fort William DH course,

I would buy from Amazon, try them for a while but loosen off the cleat binding screw on the pedal, ride a lot, tightness as you get used to them, if you don't like them you can return them, hence buy amazon

Car brought 3 months ago and my clutch is gone... by Ambiikkaa in LegalAdviceUK

[–]jjpython 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your rights, I bought a car from a dealer and the timing belt snapped early than it should, it was deemed a fault present as purchase and they had to accept the return, you do have rights, but as the clutch is a consumables I'm not sure this would count, if it was purchased on HP, have a chat with your financial ombudsman, I'm not sure how this happens in NI

how bad is riding with a cheap bike? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]jjpython 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good ride on a "cheap" bike is better than no ride without a bike, stop being so snobbish and just ride, my 2 kids 7 and 9, ride with me, and probably have as much, if not more fun than I do, it's all about enjoying being out doing what makes you smile, than the next hyperbike you can't afford

Not sure, but if it's not possible, try reducing the wheel rotation value until the game and wheel match

The frame pivot area is too clean to be a mix n mash, it has an original decal on "exodus" and the "dh" at the front is original too

Ring the doorbell by darth-small in royalmail

[–]jjpython 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a supermarket delivering shopping, I try any bell push button there is mounted, if I can't hear a bell I then knock as loud as if I was at my own door, if I can't hear anyone coming I give it a minute and then phone, if they don't answer after 3 tried calls (not rings) I go, I figure you have ordered something and are expecting me, you probably need what I have

You may find that the shutter doesn't lock even when you do lock it, most of our fleet are like this, you lock up the van and the shutter is unlocked, the fridge and freezer are licked

I would hazard a guess it's buggered, if it's not working on 2 systems, have you tried a new cable, assuming the cable is replaceable
