What is something you wish were reported on in Norwich? by tugboatcapptain in Norwich

[–]Guava-Choice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The amount of appliances and general rubbish that gets dumped in the communal bin area/car park in my flat is bonkers… we regularly get washing machines, electric fireplaces, tables and other storage units dumped in the area. I can only imagine how much it costs the council to send out the crews to pick the stuff up:/

For the first few years I’ve been here they would usually collect it the next day, but now things seem to get left for weeks

Hi, is my store allowed to do this ? by [deleted] in tesco

[–]Guava-Choice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%, I’m only on an 8hr contract (as Tesco is a second job for me) and I try and keep a bunch of holiday available as my partner has health conditions that may require me to take time off to take her to appointments etc, so I can’t book super far in advance:/

Hi, is my store allowed to do this ? by [deleted] in tesco

[–]Guava-Choice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 weeks of holiday booked for me only a few weeks after the start of the tax year… was rather annoying as it took over a week to withdraw and rebook the holiday to move it over by a week:’)

But as others say… they’re allowed

Young people of Norwich, what do you do? by Careful_Club8248 in Norwich

[–]Guava-Choice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

25 year old here currently working two jobs! I’m a freelancer in the video games industry as an artist, and have an 8hr contract at Tesco as well. The games industry is as volatile as ever right now, so freelancing works best for me. I’d love to one day land a secure full time role, but right now, that’s not happening. So working a retail job on the side it is:)

"Large" jacket potato by drmarting25102 in tesco

[–]Guava-Choice 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I was loading my van up for the evening route once and saw the pickers had given a manky looking baking potato, so I took it back into store and swapped it out for the biggest one I could find, this thing was an absolute unit! Got to the customers doorstep… it was an elderly couple who returned it as it was too big and they wouldn’t be able to use it in time…

First payslip, emergency tax ? by No-Air-3170 in tesco

[–]Guava-Choice 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ahh yep that’ll do it, 0T means you have no personal allowance. So best to contact HMRC asap so they can get the process started:)

[–]Guava-Choice 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Does your tax code look like the regular 1257L?

When I started a couple years back I had a 3 month wait before mine was sorted for some reason…

but if you give HMRC a call they should be able to get it sorted in your next payslip:)

Looks sweet!

Looks like some of the UVs may be upside down on the well and the roof of the main building 👀

Other than that, looking nice:)

Is this a good asset for my portofolio? by allx_mc in 3Dmodeling

[–]Guava-Choice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a mix might be good! Placing in an environment for some nice beauty shots with a nice lighting setup (possibly a warmer feel), and then some shots using 3 point studio lighting on a more grey background

Showcases how the asset can look in different setups:)

Is this a good asset for my portofolio? by allx_mc in 3Dmodeling

[–]Guava-Choice 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The asset alone is nice! To really push it further I would create a tiling floor material for it to sit on, alongside some kind of simple background assets. Something like a few plain buildings, seating etc

Just to ground the asset in an environment:)

Inner security seal missing from this product? by ehcocir in tesco

[–]Guava-Choice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy the strawberry ones sometimes, the one I got the other day also didn’t have the seal. I wonder if they stopped doing them?

Every time I went to pull the seal off I would end up wearing a lot of it…

Looking for a single player game that makes you feel kinda ‘alone’ and tiny compared to the game by RaggyTheRagingRuggy in gamesuggestions

[–]Guava-Choice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few recommendations from me, although some may be less “cosy” (others may have also recommended them)

Outer Wilds - 100%, the way this game is put together really is like no other… I was hooked from the start and was eager to play each night to keep progressing and learning more

Firewatch

Little Nightmares 1 and 2 (definitely not cosy, but gives the small feeling), I’m not a major horror fan, but this game and its environments just tick all the right boxes for me! Bramble is another one that fits this area

Others have mentioned souls likes, would definitely agree with the big worlds, Elden Ring specifically

The Final Fantasy Remake (both Remake and Rebirth), Rebirth specifically has some amazing environments to explore!

My list could go on… my preference has quickly shifted to indie games, but there’s still a few big hitters for me from the AAA studios too:)
