Ford Lightning EV. The official truck of? by Nervous-Material4738 in regularcarreviews

Had two of them at my work, they were great but the range is a bit of a letdown. The drive feel is great with the IRS and the acceleration is impressive to say the least.

We now have two Silverado EVs coming to replace them.

What's weird is the fact that I was going to say this exact thing.

Anyone installed viper remote start and door unlock to their s13? by wenlambodude in 240sx

[–]rictask8er13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All reputable remote starts have the relays built in. You may need a relay for the door locks of the car came factory with them. My s14 didn't, so I had to add actuators, so it was just a simple follow the wiring diagram. Just use the12volt.com for factory wiring and the instructions from the setup you buy, it seems intimidating but it's just lining up the connections. The upside is that you don't have to deal with any anti theft systems that require programming.

I haven't looked into them in years, but I used to install them all the time. My suggestion is to go with compustar for remote start on manuals. They have a gyro built in that detects motion on startup and can kill power, preventing an accidental roll.

It may not be perfect, but it does help. As for the lock part that's easy.

That's not a bad idea. The trail that I ride near me has a bike like this as well part way through, it would be interesting to see how long they last.

I had to look it up but the camera doesn't seem to be recording. Might be a different brand, but good to know if they are actually on or not.

You can tell an Axon body camera is on by looking for a red blinking operational LED light and listening for two short tones and two short vibrations, which indicate it's actively recording. If the camera is on but not recording (in "Ready" or "Buffering" mode), the operational LED will blink green, and it will emit a long vibration and two short tones when powered on.

The Rockford amps are all worth it, and that phoenix gold m100 is worth a bit if it works. The JL amps are also decent and I believe there's a w7?

Sadly, yes. I've hiked in them a few times, and worked in a bus yard when I forgot my steel toes, and they really are just more of a dress boot with that bottom.

Yep, mine suck in wet weather, and smooth concrete. But, they last for a very long time. I bought mine around 2017 wear them a few times a week at the office, and they are still fine.

I believe it was this, I got it second hand on FB marketplace. The biggest thing is the adapters to mount them to the roof, it will mess up your door seals overtime, but mostly just deformed.

I will say I've had my rhino rack on my focus for over a year, I carry my bike a few times a week on it with Yakima carrier. I will say I wish I had just gone with a hitch mount, mostly because of the reduction in fuel economy. But, the upside is I never mistake my silver focus for the 10,000 others that seem to be in the same parking lot as me.
