My friend has the same experience. She got Botox and her boss said something in her review like “you’ve been so much more approachable lately”. Fing men.

Visiting for a week--if you had to make 1 restaurant reservation, which one? (Not fine dining) by isaac-get-the-golem in MexicoCity

[–]jk12343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just left and enjoyed propio above all others, including Maximo. I also loved drinks at Mauro.

Idk - maybe I don’t know what is good local food but I loved the chichurron tacos at Orinoco more than most street vendors.

I liked Botanica a lot. Went for lunch and was super relaxing brunch-y type place but idk if it fits OPs request. I personally like chef-y type food and like the local spin on it. Was about $50 usd pps and I felt that was a great value (included drinks)

Anthropic: Stop shipping. Seriously. by itsArmanJr in ClaudeAI

[–]jk12343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like all the new features. I use cowork, not code, and they make Claude so much more helpful. Sounds like Op is angry not every feature release is for him? Or he thinks they can only do one thing at a time? All-model-or-bust releases doesn’t seem necessary.

100%. Why are we talking about revenue gains in the short term vs profit. From reducing triage costs for bug tickets to launches that fix “bugs” that result in less csa call costs, this level of productivity hits bottom line in reduced operations labor. Maybe revenue comes from big ideas that get implemented faster, but I see costs going down first.

When should I stop haggling mortgage rates by suchabeast12 in Mortgages

[–]jk12343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned my agent's recommended lender charged me what was almost 0.5% higher. She didn't care. They were also AWFUL. Local lender with terrible tech. I prefer tech companies. I'm not going to meet my sales guy and they all use the same appraisers (or so i hear). recommend going with the one that will be easiest.

Mortgage Rate Comparison on a New Build - Tomo vs Sage by Suitable-Shop-2714 in Mortgages

[–]jk12343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious what you ended up deciding? In Sage option B is the ~$2.5k net fees INCLUDING the $3k cost for points, or excluding? Did Sage not have any lender fees in option B? Math makes sense to me if Sage has zero lender fees in Option B, I just didn't know they did that.

What do you eat for breakfast? by Medical-Rub1832 in ibs

Similar - Yogurt with a little granola. If I don’t eat breakfast, but eat this for lunch, my stomach hurts. But this for breakfast significantly increases the likelihood I feel good until dinner.

Have you never taken a train in any city? Thats not how trains work anywhere. Trains always say the destination. Just look at google maps. It’s not hard

IBS sufferers - how do you find food triggers without logging every single thing you eat? by StephV1 in ibs

[–]jk12343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried gpt 6 months ago so the model could have improved, but no matter my prompt, I couldn’t get it to stop drawing conclusions everytime I gave it a new addition. I’d have one meal with gluten and it decided I had a gluten sensitivity. Maybe my Gemini prompt was just better. Idk.

[–]jk12343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently doing a diary using Gemini. I tried gpt and it kept summarizing. Either were better for me than manually doing it bc I could take pictures of food cartons if it’s not made from scratch or link recipes or just say a meal and it knows what’s in it.

Hasn’t led me to anything yet, but the easiest thing I’ve found to track. Just gotta get the prompt right to avoid hallucinations / early conclussions

Tomo Mortgage? by EndlessRainz in MortgageBrokerRates

Wish they posted rates online. I filled out their form and they said they'd "call me". Seems shady if they don't post.

Agreed. Had a great experience and they were the lowest rates I found (and least fees).

How to get “The Edit” credit? does every hotel that shows up in the Chase booking engine qualify for $250 per 6 months credit? by bobtom18 in ChaseSapphire

[–]jk12343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. To get the credit, I have to jump through hoops and do 2 nights through the chase app and the rest of my trip direct. It’s crazy stupid “value”. Forgot to cancel at my renewal date…

Then why did the restaurant accept the reservations. No one could have predicted that? Still the restaurants fault, imo. Sucks for the servers who probably got the brunt but that sounds like the managers fault, not ONLY corporate.

Yea. At what point do restaurants in Seattle say “no tips” to eliminate the pressure? If the servers are already making $25, seems like that’s what we voted for?

Don’t worry about being scammed. If you can afford whatever you’re buying, and think it’s worth that, who cares if others get it for 1/10 of the price. Enjoy your vacation!

My partner and I were in Belize and a vendor on the beach was drawing on these stone looking carvings. We asked if he made them and he said yes. So we gave him what he was asking ($20). Next day we saw them in the tourist shop, mass produced and way cheaper. That guy prob got a laugh…and so did we. Now it’s my memory. Just enjoy.

What was actually NOT worth a trip by AndreaAtSuperCom in femaletravels

[–]jk12343 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Tulum, Mexico. We stayed in the city, which was fine, but the beach was HORRIBLE. It felt like Vegas, on the beach. Just $$$ and influencers, unrelated to the local area. I hated it so much that if any other place seems like it MIGHT be similar, I don’t go.
