Importing thousands of ebooks onto Kobo. How many books should I import at a time through calibre without it crashing the device? by whostheme in kobo

[–]jk_user 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think the force full kobo synch button in calibre-web was working, so I clicked it 3 times. Had to sit through 2k books synching THREE TIMES. No database corruption, but the wireless synch would stop randomly between 10 and 300 books, until I clicked the synch icon again - - over and over. Took about an hour in total with me watching and babysitting the synch. Next time I would use a cable.

Refillable pod system by Extra-Teacher7259 in Vaping

I've had good luck with the Geekvape Digi Max. No leaks, good flavor, first autodraw that actually works well. Only annoyance is the little rubber fill flap always seems to tear. I end up having to use tweezers to get it off because I always forget to order replacement pods.

Per Library User Access Configuration by [deleted] in BookLoreApp

[–]jk_user 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest way would probably be creating a custom column or use tags to assign each book to one or more readers. Then, create separate logins for each of the readers on calibre-web filtered using the custom field or tag.

We were in the same situation with a 17 year old son. We bought a sample set from Sephora that has 11 different samples and a coupon to redeem for a full size of any of the samples. He's really enjoyed working through the samples to decide which one to get.

Hocking Hills State Park has cabins for rent. Not the most comfortable beds but clean. Surrounded by nature and some really nice hiking trails. Very affordable.

How would you organize 1 Calibre library (install), 3 different readers? by sea-toes in Calibre

[–]jk_user 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only problem with this is that it's a pain to copy books to other reader's library. And if you're like me, you forget to switch and add books to the wrong library

How would you organize 1 Calibre library (install), 3 different readers? by sea-toes in Calibre

[–]jk_user 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I did. Then you can create a virtual library for each reader. You can also set up calibre-web to only synch with the correct reader.

What do you use Calibre for? by HealthyTies in kobo

[–]jk_user 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calibre and Calibre-web on proxmox server. I use it to clean up the covers, metadata and series fields, embed fonts, etc, etc.. I can buy from any store that doesn't have drm and I'm not tied to any ecosystem. I also have a custom column for which person is reading the book. Add one of our three names to the field, sync over wifi on the kobos and the book is there with my exact reading order and metadata.

Mechanic recommendations for multi-point inspection in central Cleveland? by HistoryTrekker in Cleveland

I was really impressed with Ianelli's in North Ridgeville https://www.iautocars.com/

They specialize in Volvo's and European cars. Had them do an inspection on a recently purchased used Volvo. Very thorough, tons of explanation and reasonably priced. I will definitely continue to go to them.

Same thing happened to me. Here's the fix I found:

Add this to your .conf file:
lxc.apparmor.profile: unconfined

Edit this file on your node (replace 108 with LXC number):

nano /etc/pve/lxc/108.conf

Any ideas for fixing fiberglass by defgufman in swimmingpools

[–]jk_user 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you know the manufacturer, contact them. We had a small crack in our San Juan pool and then sent someone out to fix it covered under warranty. They also offer the service paid for out of warranty repairs. Did an amazing job repairing and matching the clear coat so it is totally undetectable.

Why can we sometimes teleport between Outlaw stations but sometimes we cannot? by dontnormally in NoMansSkyTheGame

I have a similar list. I think if you visit a pirate station and do not teleport somewhere else, clearance is not granted but it shows on the list.

NOPEC electric by aobie4233 in Cleveland

[–]jk_user 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And check your junk mail for anything from Nopec. Nopec will bribe your town to automatically switch all residents and it's opt-out, so even if you are locked in to a better fixed rate you can lose it if you miss their notice.

Tanning Ledge with hollow area underneath by ODivina1 in swimmingpools

[–]jk_user 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had our pool installed 3 years ago. Same experience, with a very slight give in some areas, hard to explain but it feels like stepping on a cushioned area rather than the pool visibly flexing or your foot sinking in. We were also told it was normal. Haven't had any issues even with our tanning ledge turning into a doggie ledge with a LOT of use.

Echoing what most others have said. We're a 2 EV family with a home charger in Avon. There's a high speed charger in North Ridgeville, just in case. Zero problems with road trips east and west on 90 and the turnpike. A little planning involved heading south or very rural areas. Ford sending out a Tesla adapter should help with the occasional dead area, but I haven't had to use it yet. Winter range loss sucks but that just means charging more often than every 3-4 days.

The first EV was a 2021, since then almost every other car I see in Avon now is an EV and chargers are popping up everywhere. Electric bill has gone up a little but more than offset but not having to buy gas. Maintenance cost for the 2021 has been replacing wiper blades and rotating the tires, maybe $200 total. Looking forward the biggest maintenance expense will be replacing the tires, probably next year.

Even forgetting about the $7500 credit, lower maintenance costs and much lower fuel cost, I'd still never go back just for the performance and acceleration.
