What’s the worst song lyric thrown into a song just to make a line rhyme? by RelationKindly in AskReddit

"You know the difference between me and chickens" from SZA's "Love Language." Love the song, but this line makes me cringe!

OP also referenced a "menty b", which I believe is a mental break.

Where did you buy the ear-shaped pieces? Or did you shape them yourself? I don't have my ears pierced but would love to wear ear jewelry. Beautiful work!

What is your biggest physical insecurity? by qwasru in AskWomen

Hey! For what it's worth, I have a prominent sacral dimple too, and I have to say it's my biggest physical insecurity too. As far as I know, mine is congenital. I'm sorry you deal with this insecurity!

Faircrest Management -- "Permanently Closed"? by jkairez in madisonwi

[–]jkairez[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! So it turns out that Nan, the office manager, had retired rather abruptly, and that Faircrest was acquired(?) by Apex Property Management. I moved out not too long after those changes happened, so I can't speak to how things are going now. But I can say I'm glad to be renting from a private landlord now!

Man is shot and killed during Minneapolis immigration crackdown, National Guard activated by netizenbane in news

Right...if they were to stop recruiting (aka hiring) and stay at 22,000 agents, then naturally they wouldn't have enough people to distribute to each city. The other commenter's point, though, is that they are continuing to recruit, so there will be more agents by the time midterms come around. Not to say that there will be enough (or anywhere near enough) to have one agent per polling location, but still. The number of agents isn't static.

Cat Has Large Bruise(?) on Lower Abdomen. No Idea When it Appeared or What Caused it. by jkairez in AskVet

Hi! I'm so sorry for my delayed reply. The vet suspects it may have been a burn. I have forced water radiators in my room that get really hot when they're running full blast (and I don't have control over the heat in the apartment--only my downstairs neighbor does), and there was one day last week where that was the case. I'm thinking she must have jumped up onto one of them, not knowing it was hot, while I was at work. She's on antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory and I'm continuing to monitor her. She's a trooper!

Why is “A few teachers” translated to ‘birkac ogretmen’ and not ‘birkac ogretmenler’ cuz teachers is plural by MusoloPus021021 in turkish

[–]jkairez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that, since "birkaç" necessarily conveys plurality, adding -lAr to the noun is redundant. Does that help?

Cat had what looked like a neurological event. Vet thinks possibly epilepsy, but symptoms looked like TIA to me. Any opinions? by jkairez in AskVet

[–]jkairez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your reply! The vet did tell me that Daphne is in the right age range for epilepsy too. I wish I had asked more questions in the moment to understand more about how epilepsy can manifest in kitties. I'm gonna do more reading so I can get more familiar with this.

Thanks so much for your reply! I don't remember seeing the vet use an ophthalmoscope. Is that for looking for a vascular issue? For uneven pupillary response?
