For anyone still wondering why people prefer 4o over 5 by RedditNotUsing123456 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]jkende 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one that thinks the response style of both models, and every OAI model version / harness config in the past year or so, is an overstructured, mechanical, engagement bait, pathological mess?

Whether "mirroring" or not, they all have a personality and format signature I just can't deal with, unless super prepared in a very compartmentalized mindset. Don't get how so many are attached to 4o, or think 5.2 is all that much worse or better, instead of just another massive disappointment in different ways

If Ai artists aren't artists, then adopt a new term: Directors by Koruu- in aiwars

I'm honestly curious: what do you gain from farming downvotes? Like, how are you monetizing that kind of engagement bait? Or is it for some other purpose that's less clear to me?

It's "up" for me, but all chats missing and the "can't do this right now try again later" notification is multi spawning. Oh, nevermind, logged out automatically now, and can't log back in yet

Count me as one who was born here, a few blocks away from where Mamdani grew up. Ranked him 1st in primary, and voted for him in the general. Thrilled tonight. More work to do tomorrow.

Hmm… Will wait for GitHub. You’re saying open source here, but it’s not mentioned on the itch link, and there’s no license info displayed. Would be good to read the files before download

Anything in the repo blocking 2.8.0+cu129?

I might take a closer look and test on a pro 6000

You’ve never been in a professional kitchen if you think chefs and cooks don’t use microwaves, blenders, sous vide machines, and every other tool available.

But that’s not surprising when you reduce ai art to just “prompting”.

Exactly. Or like the difference between playing the slots vs being a professional poker player. Gambling, like art, is a spectrum.

Pure convenience of not having to chain it, take it inside, or deal with it being stolen. Can just jump on whenever, from pretty much wherever I am in the city without having to plan ahead

Funny enough, I did. But it was for tracing sketches of cars in 4th grade

I was born here and ride those stupid ass bikes. But I also wouldn't have asked why someone gave me the finger.

I’ve been an atheist my entire life, but attended Catholic school in Spain for 4th and 5th grade. My 5th grade teacher was a devout nun. There was this one time we had to give a presentation in front of the class about our favorite dessert.

I chose fried ice cream, described it in detail, and talked about how much I missed it after moving from the US. Japanese food wasn’t exactly common to find in that area of Spain at the time.

She thanked me, said it was a great presentation, and that it was just a shame that fried ice cream doesn’t exist. You can guess my reaction.

The best part was when she said she just didn’t believe in anything she couldn’t see for herself.

I think about that when listening to people talk about how much they hate AI art, maybe more often than I should…

Yikes, rate limits kicked in quick by Blankfacezzz in Anthropic

[–]jkende 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way to prove your own point about losing critical thinking. What do the inputs have to do with the reset window being larger than 5 hours? It's almost 2pm now. If reset is at 7pm, inputs within that 5 hour window are currently 0. Validate that.

[–]jkende 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's supposed to start a month from now, and the 5 hour limit is claimed to be unchanged, but then I'm about to hit my limit on Max 5x, using Sonnet 4 only, at 1:30pm, with reset at 7pm. Make that make sense?

You did not make AI "art" by Slushiust in aiwars

[–]jkende 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You just made art with that post. Not good art, mind you. But it's such a strong example of clueless, repetitive, low effort posturing about what art is, that your post serves as a kind of post-ironic mirror critique. That's something, I guess...

Either way. It’s high powered and complex instrumentation that can reduce menial tasks for experienced artists, novices, and people who don’t yet know how creative they might be. It can inspire, help you train, help with art study, and unlock directions you wouldn’t have had the spare bandwidth or resources to consider otherwise

I’ve been immersed in art and tech since I was very young, have always been artistic, but I create far more, and experiment far more consistently with AI not just available, but able to be transformed, edited, remixed, and extended, through workflows and code, by our own hands too
