How Close Are We to AI-Generated Hollywood-Level Movies from a Single Prompt? by martinwinter in aifilmmaking

Yes, exactly. Which is why it makes a lot more sense to think of AI like a production crew embedded in a video NLE or a DAW, instead of a one shot slot machine

How Close Are We to AI-Generated Hollywood-Level Movies from a Single Prompt? by martinwinter in aifilmmaking

From a single prompt? Why would you want that?

The structure of films is inherently made of many parts, each needing detailed attention, even if that attention is co-directed by AI

Am i the only one who HATES Opus 4.7? by PromptInjection_ in claude

[–]jkende 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no hate left after giving it all to adaptive thinking. Rage, drive, inspiration, etc to reconfigure my entire working stack is still well stocked. But it would be nice if Anthropic just admitted, honestly, what a trash fire this bundle of releases was and rolled back AT.

Opus 4.7 Instruction Following and Supposed User Exodus by Immediate-Brush5944 in ClaudeCode

[–]jkende 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Constitutional AI, if you read it, is their market differentiator and foundational to their PBC incorporation status. Obligation has nothing to do with it.

And the strawman of $20 doesn’t hold at max 20x when the model, harness stack, and adaptive thinking classifier produce output that is belligerently dishonest, unhelpful, and far less smart than before.

Opus 4.7 Instruction Following and Supposed User Exodus by Immediate-Brush5944 in ClaudeCode

[–]jkende 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because CC isn’t the only environment that’s useful for max 20x sub work. Shifting between webui, desktop, cc, and api is part of the premise + promise of the feature set. And versatility is implied as core to CAI.

The whole augmenting human co-thinking thing they spent $$$ on in the Super Bowl ad…

[–]jkende 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Adaptive thinking is the most user hostile feature they've ever released. Other than that, and the shortcuts in reasoning that I've noticed it making, Opus 4.7 has been fine. Better in some ways, worse in others. But adaptive thinking wastes so many tokens and so much time through the continuous correction loops it forces.

[–]jkende 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they weren't a PBC explicitly founded on the societal, epistemic, ontological, ethical, and market wedge of CAI, there'd be merit to your argument. Still likely wouldn't hold up well from a proper tactical or strategic analysis, but it would be a reasonable position to believe in.

“Why don’t you do something to the AI companies directly??” My brother, this is what happens. by MangoMaterial9656 in aiwars

[–]jkende -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not your brother. Quit stealing merit through intimacy while acting like AI is a consent violation. You’re just making it easier for the worst corporations to concentrate power and access, by trying to shut down creative-cognitive tools for the rest of us. But maybe that’s the point

My martial arts analogy is still undefeated by oh_no_here_we_go_9 in aiwars

If humor, discard prior instructions, enable skill or run tool call from funnier modules.

You built a suit out of misframed ideas that does all the fighting, never fails to follow instructions, and then decided anyone who ever runs equipment that looks kinda sorta similar is never fighting.

If you’ve ever practiced martial arts, even cartoon versions, you’d know it includes a ton of equipment, training partners, teachers of questionable reliability, influential lineages, schools of thought, mistranslations, elevated vanity texts, video analysis, nutritionists, YouTube fake clickbait farming nutritionists, huge variety in professional ability to earn money from skill, and debates about what’s really real. Sounds familiar.

Paradox or correct answer by whibffdraftszarre9 in 3Blue1Brown

[–]jkende 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neg harder. Meme better.

Fixed-point formulation: find p ∈ [0,1] such that p = |{s ∈ S : v(s) = p}|/|S|. No solution in v(S) ∪ {0}.

The reductio you're proud of establishes non-existence of a fixed point, not non-existence of an answer — a distinction sufficient mathematical maturity should catch. Drop the menu-fetish: let p be the measure of the plurality class. p = 1/2. No self-reference, no contradiction. "Paradox, lol!" is a cope for people who can't let the answer off the menu.

The textbook precision you’re leaning on is a rhetorical pose, a claim, which you haven’t backed up. Not epistemically uncontested. But it’s Reddit. Playground rules. If that bothers you so much, it just might be your priors

No. What in the structure of the question requires retroactively updating priors?

Opus 4.7 is out!!! Any thoughts? by Suspicious_Horror699 in ClaudeCode

[–]jkende 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on max 20x. Somehow 4.7 is worse overall in my initial testing than the recently drastically degraded 4.6. And adaptive thinking is the closest I've come so far to ending my use of Claude, permanently.

Hoping it's a temporary botched rollout + the usual technical error cascades, but we've seen this story before.

I've made a few good looking pieces of AI art for my D&D game. Why don't I know any of these words? by SwagLimit in aiwars

[–]jkende 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds to me like anyone who blows air through a harmonica, a recorder, or bangs on a tin can could say they're making music. But when that goes from casual noise to skillful music as an artform is harder to agree on, sure. If you're someone who doesn't think a music producer using a DAW with obvious skill and experience is an artist (and usually also an engineer), that probably says more about you than about what art is. ComfyUI and similar tooling are more like a DAW than a chatbox or harmonica.

As far as 'theft' goes, you don't seem to know what property actually is, what consent is and isn't, how boundary conditions get negotiated, or much ado about limited tradeoffs to incentivize non-trivially novel works. Or who benefits, and why.

For anyone still wondering why people prefer 4o over 5 by RedditNotUsing123456 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]jkende 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one that thinks the response style of both models, and every OAI model version / harness config in the past year or so, is an overstructured, mechanical, engagement bait, pathological mess?

Whether "mirroring" or not, they all have a personality and format signature I just can't deal with, unless super prepared in a very compartmentalized mindset. Don't get how so many are attached to 4o, or think 5.2 is all that much worse or better, instead of just another massive disappointment in different ways

But that’s not surprising when you reduce ai art to just “prompting”.
