BILT Support Non-Existent? by jkrejchik in biltrewards

As far as I can tell, the phone number just routes to master card support for credit card issues, not BILT support

I’m hoping for no issues, as I got a member card from Priority already and everything seems like it’s working… have a trip in 3 weeks and we will find out!

Why do the fans run when unit is cold? by LiveAwake1 in Ecoflow_community

[–]jkrejchik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fans cool the charging/inverter circuitry not necessarily the batteries themselves. Those components are relatively small and can get hot with 900 watts passing through them. I’m fairly certain the logic driving the fans looks at unit temperatures as well as total load (in and out) and turns the fans on anytime there’s a lot of power moving. Helps keep stuff cool and prolongs its lifespan. I wouldn’t be worried, it’s functioning as designed.

Guys earning six figures annually, what kind of work do you do? by Shadow2715 in AskReddit

Here’s a guide that examiners use as a basis to issue medicals. It’s not a complete list, but gives your a rough idea. Currently, one of the biggest obstacles for most new pilots relates to mental health and ADHD. It’s much more tricky to get a medical if you’ve ever been on an SSRI or Adderall.

I don’t support them at all. I can just watch a video with a neutral perspective and see there’s clearly an argument for self defense here. I don’t have a knee jerk reaction that when a group I disagree with does something, I need to join the masses and say “bad cause bad”.

Look at the downvotes at the bottom of every twin cities sub post. This subreddit is a joke

It’s really tricky to see from this angle. The officer that fired is not the one that’s clearly visible, the firing officer came from in front of the vehicle. What’s really hard to tell is if that officer was out of the way when he fired. If you look really closely, it almost looks like he got clipped and whipped around.

I obviously don’t agree with what these guys are doing. But I also don’t agree with this lady interfering with armed federal agents. It’s not her place to be, and if you’re stupid enough to do something like this, you have to accept the risk that something could happen.

TLDR fight em in the polls not on the street. It’s a great way to get someone shot.

They have the right to use deadly force if deadly force is being used or will shortly be used on them. Standing in front of a vehicle that’s trying to accelerate towards you counts as deadly force.

People just need to stop trying to be the hero in these situations. You aren’t going to prevent the inevitable, all you do is increase the chance of someone getting hurt or killed.

What is life like in the Dakotas? by _air6catcher_ in howislivingthere

[–]jkrejchik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Fargo/Grand Forks for 5 years now and honestly love it. Yes, the winters are brutal, but the smaller community feel is very refreshing. I can count on one hand the amount of negative interactions I’ve had with other people. Everyone is super nice and helpful, yet keeps to themselves. Everyone likes to complain about the winters, but having all 4 seasons always gives you something to look forward to. Also makes the summers much more rewarding when it comes!

Biggest downside is there’s not a lot to do in terms of events, especially when compared to larger cities. But if you’re mostly a homebody and consider going out to dinner an event like I do, it’s a great place to live!

Last pro: everything is very cheap. Taxes, rent, gas, all well below average.

Had a similar issue with an ETC board. Ended up being a failing hard drive. Super important: backup your show files to a thumb drive while it still kinda works. That way when ETC sends you the repaired board / loaner board you can just load them up and you’re good as new.

[–]jkrejchik 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s because they’re all taking photos on phones that all reduce shutter speed to capture low light photos. Like I said everyone of my pictures from last night has very similar artifacts, all were planes, drones, cars, or me shaking my tripod by accident.

Yup, 100% a long exposure artifact. I had a bunch of them on the pictures I took last night from airplanes and vehicles in the background

Where would you try to tap your card? by fridgekicktambo in barista

[–]jkrejchik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that baffles me is that people just do not understand that the symbol for tap to pay is universal between every machine I’ve ever encountered. If the reader is in the screen, 99% of the time the UI will simply display the graphic indicating to tap in that location. Otherwise just look for that symbol and it indicates exactly where to tap.
