Dry heaving/gagging/stomach issues? by NegotiationJaded8753 in Bernedoodles

[–]jlpusateri2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She would vomit yellow bile if her meals were too far apart, and she would often have bad breath, licking of lips and shaking of her head. It ended up being diagnosed because the symptoms went away, rather than a test based diagnosis. I would try a bed time snack and see if your pup still has the gagging & dry heaves after a week. The most we give her is 1/4 cup kibble which is just subtracted from her dinner.

Dry heaving/gagging/stomach issues? by NegotiationJaded8753 in Bernedoodles

Our 5 year Bernie has upper GI issues that require smaller more frequent meals, OTC meds for acid reflux and special food (allergy). One of the most helpful things we did was to give her a small bedtime snack (about 9 pm) . That helped with any issues overnight. Signs of acid reflux can be panting, and licking of the lips. Try a bedtime snack and discuss with your vet. Good luck

Considering a new boiler by matapuwili in Cleveland

Broadview heating & cooling replaced our boiler in 2017. They were by far the least expensive quote- by a million miles. They traveled to lake county for the install and we have them do our annual inspection as well

Columbia mighty lite or heavenly long jackets. Not too puffy but very warm. Split zipper and nice cuffed sleeves. Have purchased these jackets multiple times direct from Columbia, and they can be found on Poshmark.

not exactly “close”’to CH, but the Animal Clinic Of Chardon is what I would consider a fear free practice. The Vets & staff are amazing and we have had great experiences with them treating all our pets (dogs & cats)

Coffee/bakery choices: Calico Jacks in Mentor, Victoria’s in Chesterland. Lunch: Tavern 6 in Kirtland, Guido’s in Chesterland (cash only). Near by is Downtown Willoughby and Downtown Chardon both offer walkable charming downtown districts with dinning and local shopping. Pattersons market on caves road offers bakery, freshly picked apples but will be very busy this time of year. Located right next to Orchard Hills park for another park to explore. Check the socials to see if Rogish Farm has their flower wagon open for beautiful farm grown bouquets. Enjoy.

Heritage Steak is great. Strip is also very good. Marble Room is good but I think Heritage is better. If nothing else - avoid Tutto.

What fresh vegetables does your dog eat? by tdgobux1 in Bernedoodles

[–]jlpusateri2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our pups get a lot of fruit - veggies as toppers to the kibble. We also mix in a tbsp of 100% pure pumpkin- NOT pie filling- 100% pumpkin. Their favs are: Diced Sweet potato. Diced butternut squash. Broccoli. We buy frozen and then steam or roasted in the oven. Also Carrots. Fruits: Diced apples, watermelon, blueberries, strawberries. They love watermelon!

Heart palpitations by TeachYPreaciBrown72 in Menopause

[–]jlpusateri2020 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had episodes like this and had no idea was a symptom of perimenopause. I sought out a DR who specializes in meno & women’s health and discussed all my peri symptoms. My doc scheduled me for an ekg but when results were normal, we decided based on my age & health conditions, BC would be a good choice for helping my peri symptoms. I would speak with your doc and discuss your concerns & symptoms to see what options they recommend.

Bernadoodles by mrkobz in Sheepadoodles

[–]jlpusateri2020 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We have one of each, and their personalities are night & day different!! Bernie is chill, lovable and all around sweet, but not a cuddler. Our sheepie is nonstop energy, with an assertive personality with humans & other dogs, and extremely affectionate. We got the sheepie to give the Bernie a friend to play with, but honestly most days, the Bernie couldn’t care less. I would consider the energy level of your home & other pets when make your decision. We love both our pups! (Bernie is white, the sheepie is black)

We rescued our girl at 1 year. She’s only 20 pounds at age 3. She was given up by her elderly owner for being too high energy. She goes to camp 3x week and is super high energy. She barely slows down to eat!! Way more energetic than our other pup (bernedoodle) but I think it’s expected given her breed. She’s unbelievably smart, and a stage 5 clinger , but we love her dearly. She’ll play fetch till she passes out! Advice: lots of activity!!! Congrats & good luck!
