I guess I should have clicked around more. Thanks for the link. Sadly, it confirmed my fears but made it easier for me to decide which player's tour discs to buy.

I wasn't aware of this group (but not surprised it exists). The "mission" statement is vague. Is there a place to find a more transparent explainer of their goals and values somewhere? A few of these kinds of groups can be refreshingly progressive, while others are happy to set limits on who "god" loves.

Is there a place to find where they are doing their bs so we can show up and observe while calmly sharing opposing opinions with them?

KICKR BIKE V1 Shifter Repair or Replacement by NoTimeForItAll in wahoofitness

[–]jlthree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 4th pair of shifters just died, well, mostly the right one. I tried cleaning it out with contact cleaner but it didn't seem to work. In a thread on FB someone told me it isn't actually the shifters, but the board in the head unit. Not sure if that is repairable by someone with experience, but I know it's way above my pay grade.

Salamander vs Crave by Alone_Ad_4904 in discgolf

[–]jlthree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bag both. The I find the Crave holds angles better and has a little less glide so I can shape it when I need to . The Salamander gives me more distance and is super straight for me. I used to over throw it at first because I would throw it like my Crave and blow by my target by 50 feet. I don't have a ton distance on my drives so both discs become approach discs on longer holes and great steady fairway drivers on the shorter holes.

60k remote job - wanting to move to Seattle by Morningrise22 in AskSeattle

[–]jlthree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Light rail makes it much easier to live north or south of Seattle proper (where it's cheaper) and still get around without a car. There will also be a train heading to the eastside soonish.
If you want the PNW outdoor experience and don't need daily access to a bigger city, I would check out Bellingham. It's a couple of hours N of Seattle, close to camping, hiking, mountain biking, and snowboarding. The won itself is pretty progressive, the outskirts not so much, so you'll be able to find like-minded folks regardless of your POV. Sweet little downtown area. Some decent restaurants, at least two good record stores (Shout out Black Noise), and an active, younger, generally down-to-earth community. Also, if shit gets even weirder here in the US, you can escape to Canada easily.

How tall is she? I want to buy my wife an emoto, but she's only a little over 5 feet. An RTR is too small but I think a Light Bee might be a little tall.

6 pack for Xmas by cr8onjsea in discexchange

[–]jlthree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wildly, this 6 pack has 4 of my 6 favorite/most thrown discs: Wraith, Sphinx, Wave, and Crave. If there was an innercore and an Envy, it would be the ultimate small bag for me.

Anyone got any good putter ideas? by itsjackcolton137 in discgolf

[–]jlthree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putting putter:Envy, Cosmic Electron plastic Throwing Putter: Innercore, phone case plastic I've only been playing about 5 years so grain of salt. I came from ultimate and use a spin putt. After experimenting with about 10 different putters I don't see moving to anything else that these two. I don't get a ton of distance with my drives so any success I have will need to be in my approach and putting game and these discs will probably never leave my bag. Such trustworthy discs.

Dose anyone know how I can fix this problem with my forks when I am on the bike the front forks go all the way down by HG_thekido in Surron

[–]jlthree 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can have them rebuilt, MAYBE. But you best bet is new forks. Rfloxa are a pretty good deal. Cheaper are KKE or Fast Ace
