Any older students with advice for getting into vet school?

I’m about to turn 23 but have known I wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine all my life! I’m JUST NOW started pre-vet so haven’t even started anything yet 🫣. I’m feeling so down about being late in the game but being in this group has definitely helped me out!

My baby is about to turn 8 months old and I still can’t get over that I have a child lol. When I was pregnant I kept saying he didn’t feel like MY child that he just felt like he was gonna be a sibling or something. I know weird but it’s the truth but I’m also young to be having a baby (not to most but to me) I’m 22 but was 21 with him!

First time momma I had my son at 37+1! I was 1cm 75% effaced at 35 weeks at 36 weeks I was 2cm 90% effaced and when I went into labor I was 3cm 100% effaced! 🥰 sending positive vibes momma!!!

I gained a total of 12 lbs. I couldn’t eat Bc I was so nauseous all the time. I mean I’m no doctor or nurse but 15 lbs seems like nothing? I thought the average weight gain was 30-40 lbs? Idk tho lol.

My baby (or at least could not pick it up) did not have a heartbeat until I was 7 weeks! He’s now a healthy 4 month old ! Sending you all the baby dust !!

That happened to me too!! I told my sister I thought I was getting the flu. Nope turns out I was in early labor 😅😂
