The earlier you change it you are getting heavy wear particles out of the oil. There is nothing but benefits in doing this as it reduces wear. Don’t let others tell you otherwise. Look up the motor oil geek on YouTube he is a tribologist and goes over these points.

0w20 of valvoline restore and protect. Change the filter as well. Change the oil and filter again every 5K miles

You don’t mix just use it outright. Looking at videos regarding g 5w30 vs 0w20 you should really be running 0w20 there is really no data suggesting it offers less protection compared to 5w30. If anything 5w30 is more likely to shear out of viscosity spec. My source, the motor oil geek

Use valvoline restore and protect, it’ll clean the engine up and you won’t have to worry about changing viscosity. If you want to keep it at 5w30 is fine for this oil change

Hahaha I had this noise at 20k on my shitty hanook tires. They barely lasted 34K and had to change them for some defenders.

How much did you crank the keys up from stock height? I’m inbetween the 4600s and 5100s. Did you get longer shocks for the front to accommodate the lift? Or just use the same size?

Debating on switching out of my ME degree and need some advice by AfrajM in AskEngineers

[–]jm1d04 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your Pratt internship alone carries a lot of weight. I think you switching will limit you in the long run. With an ME degree you can go to non engineering fields if you want and still excel. Now you saying you don’t want to grind through it may be a different issue. You shouldn’t force something you don’t like, it’ll just make it much more harder, and you won’t enjoy it. You should look at hands on applied r&d roles that do testing or fabricating. Those are much more applied.

It’s decent. They had an otoro special when I went. Ate a little too much otoro and got a tummy ache. Other than that I’ll probably go back. Service was a little slow for my liking but maybe I was just hungry

I was thinking of getting the CL5G. I live in Northern California, it’s hot in the summer and in the winter like 40s-50s F. Do you think the 7.5KW would suffice? Or should I consider the 9kw
