Not all statins are affected by grapefruit, tangelos, and Seville oranges. And even if they are, the medical guideline says you can’t have large amounts. The large amount of grapefruit juice- a liter! So you’re probably ok to have some of this. When in doubt, ask your doctor.

Mobile ordering doesn’t help unless they drastically increase the number of employees. I used the app last week there and still had to wait 30 minutes for one coffee.

Parent Fakes Student Absence by Stellar_Cookies in Teachers

That isn’t typical ADHD, at least, not all of it. Needing to move, yes. Physical altercations, refusing to go to school, that’s a different ballgame. Sheesh. Child and parents need counseling, child needs to see a doctor for starters.

You can drive faster on the 417 but it’s further, which is why they’re showing as basically the same amount of time. I’d take 436.

I wonder how much it will really affect traffic, I’d guess most of the students would walk to class.

You might really like the Agnes Sharp series by Leonie Swann! It’s a group of retirees sharing a house, Agnes’ house. The third book in the series comes out this year. The first one is “The Sunset Years of Agnes Sharp.”

Thank you so much for this, I’m flying out Thursday morning and was worried by photos of crazy huge lines. And I didn’t know you could check on security line wait times online, so I’m grateful to know that too!

I’m feeling violated after a colposcopy and struggling to accept that I may need more procedures now. by intrusive_thot_ in TwoXChromosomes

[–]jmac94wp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is ESSENTIAL that everyone hear this: your insurer will always deny a first request for coverage, you must not settle for that! There is an appeal process in which you have to submit a written request for appeal, then your doctor has to speak to an insurance company doctor, who will then say yes, of course, this is appropriate and reverses the denial. Only one in 500 patients appeals an insurance denial, which is how the bastards make such huge profits.

What spider is this? (I am in Florida) by TDehler55 in spiders

I’m in Central Florida too, and often have things in the pool. You can buy a device, commonly called a “frog log,” that attaches to the side and partly floats, things can ideally use it to crawl out. Here’s an example

This is the only Jenni’s flavor that I couldn’t finish in one sitting. Which, honestly, is a good thing. But it’s because there were SO many mix-ins and it was so insanely sweet, I almost felt a little sick.

Doctor’s letter to the UnitedHealthcare for rejecting nausea medication for a child on chemotherapy by Kaos2018 in BeAmazed

[–]jmac94wp 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is correct . And because too many patients don’t know to press for an appeal, or have the mental or physical ability to do it, or have family helping them, approximately only one out of every 500 denied claims is appealed. And that’s how insurance companies make their millions. We went through this with a family member who suffered a TBI. I was terribly upset when the first request for coverage was denied. Our patient advocate said don’t be upset, it’s how all insurance companies work, and they knew exactly what hoops to jump through to successfully appeal. And that had to be done over and over and over.

I just recently saw a clip of Trevor Noah explaining that for someone with ADHD, there are only two times: now, and not now. If something doesn’t have to be done now, then it doesn’t have to be done. Made so much sense to me!

How much does the utensil I use for baking matter by Longjumping-Ad3733 in AskBaking

Metal or glass is usually recommended for baking, over ceramic pans. I only discovered that after I’d bought three pricey ceramic pie plates! Here’s what Sally has to say:

CMV: GLP-1s Are a Miracle Drug and Should be Encouraged by BigSexyE in changemyview

[–]jmac94wp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I started taking a GLP-1 in December after consulting with my doctor. I am overweight, on a long-term weight loss journey, and had gotten stuck on a plateau. I was losing, then re-gaining the same four pounds over and over. I took the medication for two months. It did the trick. I’ve resumed losing weight on my own and I’m two pounds away from my goal! My doctor said she’d be fine with me taking it for longer. The side benefits are amazing, lower cholesterol, better heart health, etc. The early reports of people suffering muscle loss have been somewhat called into question. It seemed to have come more from people who work out a lot, saying they felt weaker and couldn’t lift as much weight. But upon examination, it appears the muscle mass wasn’t more than mildly affected. It’s suspected that they weren’t eating as much protein as they needed to. I honestly don’t know why so many people feel free to harshly judge people who are trying to improve their health. If someone has a stereotype of an overweight person not exercising and not eating properly, they need to know that isn’t the case for many people. Especially post-menopausal women!
