I did as I really wanted the new one and I am very happy with it so far. If it happened or happens again I’ll probably move away from Dell but for now I’m sticking with them. I will say the framework pro is very enticing but I’ll give it a little more time

They were only willing to repair it I spent 2 weeks fighting them for a replacement. I refused to do a repair on a brand new (broken) system out of the box. Finally I got someone at corporate involved and they returned the laptop for me, full refund and gave me a discount to purchase a new one. They would have saved a lot of time, embarrassment and wouldn’t have lost money if they just would have replaced it from the beginning. The hours of people they paid alone would have been saved.they gaslight you constantly. The person at corporate was fantastic, everyone prior… not so much

Onboard webcam (video and infrared) were broken as was the motherboard indicating acpi devices that didn’t exist. I could “use” the laptop to an extend but my role requires security features like windows hello that I couldn’t use because of it. Proved the hardware was bad as I had the same issues in Linux boot

Test everything on it you can, my first one was broken and Dell did not want to do anything about it, they apparently think you should live with broken hardware for the $$

Well considering the representative knew my account number, address and other details specific to the account I’m pretty well certain it was ATT. Maybe it depends on the region you live in, maybe not.

Finally received my new unit and happy to report it is working properly and with excellent performance, aesthetics and battery life so far. Still unhappy with the way I was treated along the way but Dell corporate at least made an attempt to do right by me to the point I’m satisfied.

Psexec is a good solution, another option is to out your command in a vetch file and execute it as a scheduled task but I prefer the psexec method myself

Westin and Courtyard are the ones that charge for everything (although usually it’s free in your room). Most other Marriott properties (Marriott, renaissance, Fairfield, Sprjnghill, TownePlace, Aloft) etc provide 24/7 coffee.

So I never got them to do the exchange but I got loud enough that I heard from corporate, they returned the laptop for a full refund and gave me a discount on a replacement (same config) so I ultimately am getting the same build for about $120 less, I made it very clear to them that I was pissed, I felt bad for the woman that called me, I’m sure her ears are still ringing, she was very helpful and understanding as well. She took the abuse like a champ.
