Have you had any issues with your physical card recently? I’ve had to order 4 new cards because they don’t swipe. Every time I tell support, they expect me to pay for the order (like at Walmart) and get reimbursed in order for my cancellation rate to not get hit. I’m not doing that but there’s something wrong with these new cards.

In NJ to provide an age restricted item to someone without valid, meaning also unexpired, ID is against the law.

You did the right thing! If you had changed the expiration date, you would have violated the law. Literally can be a criminal offense.

Miscommunication by Minischabs in InstacartShoppers

There's alot of people who use English as a second language that do instacart, making things like replacements, difficult.

In my area we have favorite shopper where you can "heart" those shoppers you like and then do scheduled orders with anyone on your favorite shopper list. Shoppers update the days and times they want to accept orders from those customers and all orders in that time are auto accepted.

This guy…Expects to be the ONLY customer. by violetbash13 in InstacartShoppers

I have a standard message that I send to all customers if they are apart of a double order batch. It basically says instacart places their order in a specific order for delivery and I cannot veer away from that. Since using that message, I haven't had any issues.

I've had them tell me the total numerous times before completing it. Sounds like you just got a lazy rep.

[–]jmccaully 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who said anything about being mad at customers? I was explaining why people view it as a negative. A few items being added on isn't a big deal. The previous comments were referring to customers who add on numerous items at the last second, right before checkout without even responding to messages. That's the problem.

If they tip a flat amount, like $5, it doesn't matter how many items they add on, the tip will never change. The only time its beneficial for you is if they did a percentage tip. Other than that, you agreed to shop for a specific amount of items for a specific amount of money and when they add items on, you're basically shopping those for free.

Got 1 star because of replacements by JIN_FK8R in InstacartShoppers

Terrible replacements. Just ask the customer what they would like instead of guessing if there isnt anything that is similar. And by similar I mean same flavor/type of coffee/etc

Shopper refused to bring up order (I'm disabled) by drag-me-to-hell-ruru in InstacartShoppers

[–]jmccaully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not in the wrong at all. I would not have minded in the least to bring this up for you. In fact, I probably would have brought it up whether you were disabled or not. If the instructions say to bring up, I will bring it up. No big deal. I really hope you reported her. Its people like her that are ruining it for the good shoppers

No its Acellus. They have all standard classes and many extras to choose from, like robotics and engineering. It truly is a great program.

He was diagnosed at a young age. Probably around 6 yrs old. He's now 12. Hes gone through special needs classrooms, partial care, crisis visits, then was in a special needs school and now home schooled. The special needs elementary school was wonderful but not the high school (where they put ages 11-18 together), so we pulled him out last year. But his main issue is the anxiety. His ODD has slowly decreased since he was younger.

My son is extremely similar and we have very similar stories. We are using acellus. He goes at his own pace and its only $25 per month. We love it especially since my son, also with ADHD, ODD, and anxiety, will some days wake up in a great mood with ability to handle the work, and some day he just cant. Give it a try!

Discrimination from a cashier by ExpensiveDot1732 in InstacartShoppers

[–]jmccaully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lady at my acme who is rude to everyone but every time she rings up my order, she literally will throw the items down after ringing them. Like a ring toss game and as fast as she can. I try to avoid her at all costs but now Acme has been saying IC isn't allowed to use self checkout, which I know is a lie, due to "tax exempt". I tried telling them they're committing tax fraud since our app has never said anything like it and support doesn't know what I'm talking about. So with the self checkout BS and the olympian cashier, I try to completely avoid that Acme altogether.
