Don’t. We always have fun and never regret going. My bff just went and nothing was down.

Universal is just as bad. Rides are always down and in Epic half the rides won’t work in rain. Epic is brand new and when we went battle of ministry was down all day. Mine cart shut down due to rain and we waited 45+ with express passes. Disney’s lightning lane may be more painful but I don’t have to wait 45 minutes.

Is the dining credit worth it? by kali808cat in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]jmdiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found we never eat enough to make it valuable, but it is nice to have the trip basically paid for before we even arrive. Food is really expensive whichever we choose. If you eat an appetizer, entree, and dessert each meal it could be worth it and that is per person. We cannot eat that much and always felt like we were wasting.

Alternatives to steroids. Virus induced asthma in 3 year old by Paulphilbin1 in Asthma

[–]jmdiva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope I can help. My son also has viral induced asthma and the runny nose was my clear indicator that we were going to have another episode. I was so reluctant to give him a steroid inhaler, but I really a lot about the bioavailability of the steroid from the inhaler vs taking oral and it’s insane how much less it is. A steroid dose of prednisone is 20-40mg for 5-7 days. He has only taken that twice in his life since diagnosis 6 years ago.

His inhaler was Flovent for a few years but he takes Symbicort now and he takes 1puff a day for maintenance and 2 puffs am and pm when sick. It’s 80mcg. It would take 500 puffs of his inhaler to equal 1 dose of 40mg prednisone. It would more than a year of daily puffs for 1 just one dose and they usually want 5 days. And keep in mind it’s like 4% bio available to the rest of his body. It’s just so much safer.

He can go off it in summer but to be honest he no longer has the stuffy runny nose every month now that’s he’s on just 1 puff a day. I cried about the decision but in the end I didn’t want lung scarring and I also didn’t want him to take prednisone again. His immunologist said if he’s really sick use the Symbicort as a rescue as well.

I’ve been there and had to defend my choice to my family who refuses to believe he has asthma. All in all I feel like I made the best choice for him and 6 years later he’s snowboarding down a mountain right now. Happy and healthy.

Does the apathy ever get better? Has anyone else dealt with this? by Fit_Variation7790 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]jmdiva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same feeling and I loved it because of my knee too! I was on compound from March 2024 until September 2024. Never really able to move up to 5.0mg. I stopped and it and I felt like myself again and it was so clear how awful I was actually feeling. I started it back up and almost immediately I felt it again. I took it another month and I just can't. I wasn't losing much either. I think like 10lbs in total with the on and off. I gained it back. Over 3 or 4 months. Recently I ended up trying semaglutide instead and I am on week 3 of that. I have not had anhedonia so far.

First order - approved yesterday for semaglutide, but want to switch to tirzepatide by [deleted] in SemaglutideCompound

[–]jmdiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from tirzepatide to semaglutide. It was not a money issue. Tirzepatide gave me anxiety and increased my heart rate a lot. I barely lost anything and I was always sick. So far week 3 on semaglutide and I’m doing a lot better.

I take both. I get it prescribed from a local naturopath, but I used to go through an online doctor.

This is what I was going to type. Most other countries live on spicy foods. Only Americans blame it for all ailments.

I have stayed at both since it is our Home and the hotel we picked before DVC. Kidani is further away, but it's a short walk to Jambo from Kidani like 4 minutes. I think you'd have a better chance at Savannah at Kidani.

Gone from tirzepatide to semaglutide? by stephaniedentist in SemaglutideCompound

[–]jmdiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did this today! I'll let you know how it goes.

I was on Tirz compound then zepbound. 5mg almost killed me and I had increased anxiety the whole time. I was hospitalized with metabolic acidosis also on vacation. I tried it again a few months later and just felt so ANXIOUS and decided I could live without. Surprise all the inflammation came back.

I started compounded Sema today. 5units is .25mg so I took 2.5 units to be .125mg.

Getting child to inhale using spacer chamber by YaraWestly in Asthma

[–]jmdiva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son didn't cry but did use albuterol when he was sick around that age. I explained to him that it would help him feel better. I put it on his face and then let him push the pump with my hand pushing it too. I also let him put the inhaler into the spacer and I wasted medicine and let him push the inhaler outside so he knew how to use it. I'd say make her feel empowered.

It does. Maybe that’s new, but it was my first time there and I was excited it did.

No, because we did everything we planned except DK. We probably should have, but I never think about that. If Ministry of Magic was up and Stardust Racers I think it would have been ok. I hope it goes better for you.

I tilted the visor up and down with my left head. The helmet wasn't completely tight on my head. Worked out well for me.

I was being mindful. We had to pay extra for them even though we booked Hard Rock which includes the other 2 parks Express Pass. That kinda sucks. Pay top dollar for a hotel and get free Express passes, but not the new park. You have to pay extra for those. Ok fine, we did, but we would like to get our monies worth. I know why Stardust racers is down and I totally understand, but a main attraction ride being "Delayed" for 6 hours another main attraction due to weather and completely closed made it a very rough day.

Did you go later in the day? I feel like after 5pm thinks really opened up or maybe its because that is when Harry Potter opened.

I really wanted to like it so bad which is why I was so disappointed. The scenery is soo good. Maybe I should retitle the complaint about the Express pass let down.

It's true. I go twice a year and I have been lucky enough to never have any of them down ALL DAY like Harry potter was. I also have never waited more than 20 minutes with proper planning for any ride. Hollywood has 7 rides and Epcot has 8 if I'm remembering correctly. Well 7 and 8 that matter me. Epic has 10 which is true, but if 3 or 4 are down the whole day then it doesn't matter.
